What Is the Opportunity?
Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) provides management and professional liability, cyber, crime insurance, and surety bonds to or on behalf of businesses of all sizes. The BSI Claim Counsel team conducts thorough investigation, analysis, evaluation, and disposition of claims and claim litigation to achieve superior customer service and to optimize claim results. NewRange is looking for a motivated Geologist to support drilling programs at the NorthMet and Sunrise Cu-Ni-PGE projects, located in northern Minnesota. Reporting to the Geoscience Supervisor, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for logging drill core, assistance with drill program execution and delivering geological interpretations that contribute to resource modelling and mine planning. The successful candidate can expect to participate in field activities from Hoyt Lakes to Babbitt, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the drill programs. Field work for this temporary role is anticipated to begin mid January 2026 and end around late December 2026.

Located in the historic iron range mining region of northeastern Minnesota, NewRange is a 50:50 joint venture of subsidiaries of Teck American Inc. (Teck) and PolyMet Mining Corp. (Glencore) that is advancing two major copper-nickel-platinum-palladium deposits, NorthMet and Sunrise. Project activities range from readying the feasibility stage NorthMet project for a production decision pending clearance of mine permits to advancing the nearby Sunrise project to pre-feasibility studies and permitting. NewRange is committed to unlocking a new domestic supply chain of critical metals for the transition to a low-carbon economy and positioning Minnesota as a world leader in sustainable mineral resource development.
NewRange will be conducting drilling programs in 2026 to further define the resource and to provide geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological information that will ultimately inform an updated mine plan. Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Geoscience or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree. Current enrollment in post-secondary studies in a geoscience discipline would be considered.
· Relevant geoscience experience, including exposure to mineral exploration and igneous petrology. Specific experiences in the geology of magmatic sulfide deposits, core logging, geotechnical logging, drill site management, geologic mapping, geochemical and geophysical applications are all viewed as assets.
· Familiarity with software such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Excel, and PowerPoint is an asset.

The BSA Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program. Review the BSA/AML implications of any new or changed products, services, initiatives, or distribution channels; advise senior management on necessary steps to mitigate BSA/AML risk.
Promptly alert senior management to any material issues of BSA/AML non-compliance and institute and monitor corrective action.

• This job posting will be open until filled and will hire three individuals. • This is a seasonal, full-time (40 hours/week) position is anticipated to start March 30, 2026 and end on June 1, 2026. is based out of Ely, Minnesota in the USFS Kawashiwi Ranger District office.
• Shared housing and basic utilities are provided by TNC at no cost to the employee upon signing and agreeing to housing terms, and the employee must live in the provided housing to meet the needs and nature of the position and to maximize the effectiveness of the crew.
• Hourly rate range: $20.00 - 21.15/hour dependent on experience.
What We Can Achieve Together:
The Northwoods program partners closely with the Superior National Forest, The Nature Conservancy's Northeast Minnesota Fuels Planner, and other partners in the area. As one of our Burn Crew Members, you will participate in prescribed burning operations in partnership with other non-profit organizations, state and federal agencies, and Tribes. This includes ignition, holding, mop-up, and post-burn patrol. You will also be responsible for burn unit preparation, equipment maintenance, timber stand improvement projects, invasive species control, and other projects as assigned that are essential to fire operations and ecosystem restoration.
To support Burn Crew Members' professional development, you will be introduced to regional prescribed burning ecology, equipment, and practices, and you may be offered trainee opportunities to advance your qualifications. In addition, you shall work to build and maintain relationships in the professional wildland fire community and in local communities where TNC works. You may gain experience in wildfires should you elect to do so and if opportunities arise.
Candidates who are not currently qualified as a Fire Fighter Type 2 (FFT2) may complete the required online training before your first day of work and complete the hands-on component of the training as part of their onboarding work time.
Some overtime is expected, and as part of the crew, you may be asked to travel along the Minnesota-Canada border to the bluff lands of southeast Minnesota. This may include overnight stays for multiple days for burn opportunities. Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
This is a seasonal position (arriving in May and continuing through August) working primarily in the field. Candidates are required to attend a pre-employment training before the season begins that includes wilderness travel training, technical skills training, OB curriculum and educational philosophy.
On-the- job training continues when the Instructor (I) begins working in the field under the supervision of a Course Director and Lead Instructor (LI). Working as part of an instructional team, Instructors are expected to observe, learn, and practice the art of facilitating educationally effective programs and teaching students the skills necessary to thrive on a wilderness expedition. They are also expected to learn and follow VOBS safety policies and procedures meant to mitigate the risks inherent to remote travel.
This position emphasizes working with our Intercept Program, though the candidate should also be willing to work in other course types as needed. VOBS serves a wide range of student populations. The majority of our students are youth and young adults between the ages of 14 and 25. Our Intercept Program specifically works with youth and young adults who are striving to make positive decisions in one or more areas in their lives and whose needs cannot be met through participation in a standard or “Classic” expedition format. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with VOBS staff to design and implement a nature-based, experiential expedition that serves students and is in line with Outward Bound mission and educational philosophy.

Individual Placement - Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Program Participant - Kawishiwi
Ely, MN
This summer program will take place in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW), located within the Superior National Forest. The BWCAW is one of the most heavily visited wilderness areas in the National Wilderness Preservation System. Within the 1.1 million acres of Federally Designated Wilderness lies a network of largely canoe-based travel routes containing nearly 2,000 campsites and hundreds of miles of trails and portages. The participants will assist USDA Forest Service Wilderness Ranger crews to perform routine trail and campsite maintenance, trail and campsite rehabilitation projects, and visitor education. In addition to maintenance duties, these intern positions would assist with monitoring biophysical and social resource conditions within the BWCAW.
This is an arduous position that involves lifting and portaging 50+ pound tool packs, overnight gear, and canoes. Participants will be required to camp overnight for up to 8 days/7 nights. The main mode of travel is with canoes, but motorboats may occasionally be used as well. Major duties include backcountry maintenance using traditional (non-mechanized) tools including crosscut saws, shovels, pulaskis, and axes, as part of the standard toolkit. Participants will learn how to use these traditional tools on designated wilderness campsites, and wilderness portage and hiking trails. The incumbents will also conduct monitoring and inventory work to support Superior National Forest Plan objectives.
Positions will likely work from mid-May to mid-August but start and end dates may be negotiable.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
* College degree in STEM related field.
* Associate Actuarial Credential preferred.
* Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (eg. SQL, SAS).
* 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience preferred.
* Strong understanding of insurance products and industry.
* Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects.

* Take ownership of assigned projects and meetings, make recommendations and presents results to business partners.
* Proficient in Leading Self, exhibiting self-awareness while also effectively managing ambiguity.
* Initial development of Leading Others, including mentoring/training team members.

* Has an in-depth understanding and knowledge of a few basic business drivers and disciplines such as: underwriting, products, reinsurance, distribution, sales, operations, risk control, claim, and financials.

* Has a foundational perspective of the primary industry and developing trends such as: technology, analytic methodology, products and performance of competitors.

Quantitative Analysis:
* Evaluate and use appropriate data, tools and methods.
* Able to perform analytics independently, can effectively plan next steps within analyses with little oversight.

* Able to contribute on more complex analytical work with guidance.
What is a Must Have?
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
* 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis required.
