Today, Brick (formerly “The Marketing Plant”) serves as the internal agency for Mortarr. Abby leads this team, directing overall branding, UX/UI designs, campaign creation, digital strategy, and communication for Mortarr and its subscribers. Brick is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mortarr. Abby developed and leads “Mortarr in the Classroom,” an initiative rolled out to students and faculty across the country. This initiative encourages the use of Mortarr as a resource to digitize and streamline the way inspiration for projects and course work is curated, and has been widely adopted by schools including The Design School of Arizona State University, Texas Tech University and the University of Minnesota.Abby graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (ASU) with a degree in Marketing and complimenting design studies in The Design School at ASU.Abby has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Thrive Global, MUSE by Clio, Star Tribune, TECHdotMN, Finance and Commerce, Twin Cities Business, The Business Gist, and The Minneapolis Egotist. Amy Petersen is Co-Founder and Chief Sales Officer of Mortarr, the AEC’s leading online marketing platform connecting the commercial construction and design world. Steve Pulley is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mortarr, the AEC’s leading online marketing platform connecting the commercial construction and design world. This imagery-driven search engine serves as an inspiration gallery, networking and promotional tool for professionals, brands and individuals working within the industry.

Prior to Mortarr, Steve served as co-founder and President of Alliance Benefit Group North Central States, Inc. (‘ABGNCS’) for 25 years. Steve began with a team of 10 employees servicing the retirement space. By the end of 2015, he had grown ABGNCS to encompass six separate lines of service representing over $6 billion in assets with a team of over 100 employees and significant technological advances. After orchestrating the successful sale of his privately-held firm to publicly-held Alerus Financial, N A. (\'Alerus\')(OTCQX:ALRS) in the beginning of 2016, he served as Executive Director, embedding the newly acquired service lines into what is now Alerus Retirement and Benefits.

Steve graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Iowa State University. He’s been featured in the Star Tribune, Twin Cities Business, and Minnesota Business Magazine.
