Rajiv is the President and CEO of Nutanix. He joined in December, 2020 from VMware, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of Products and Cloud Services. Prior to this role, Rajiv led VMware’s Networking and Security business, one of the fastest-growing units in the company, as executive vice president and general manager. Before joining VMware, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Infrastructure and Networking at Broadcom, where he established Broadcom as a leader in data center, enterprise and carrier networking. In his prior General Manager roles at Cisco, he led multibillion dollar product lines in switching, data center and storage and optical networking. Earlier in his career, he held various leadership positions at Nortel, Tellabs and IBM. Rajiv earned his BTech in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology and his Master’s and PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He is an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Fellow and holds 36 patents, primarily in optical networking.

In his role, John leads the Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Account Management divisions. He also manages the insurance carrier relationships that support the Lenders Protection program. Under his leadership, Open Lending has been named to the Austin Business Journal’s “FAST 50” list five times, recognizing the fastest growing private companies in Central Texas. The company has also been named to the “INC 5000” list of fastest growing private companies nationwide and been named a “Best Place to Work” in Central Texas three times. A sought after expert in financial institution operations and profitability, John co-founded Objective Advisors, Inc., a registered Investment Advisory firm dedicated to providing objective financial management services exclusively to credit unions and banks nationwide. John also currently serves as President of IAS (Insurance Administrative Services, LLC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Open Lending, LLC.In 2015, John co-founded The Finest Federal Credit Union, established to serve the police and law enforcement agencies of New York City. It became the first newly chartered credit union in years.
