Job Summary This position will provide thorough maintenance cleaning support to the Morton County Courthouse within the Buildings and Grounds Department. The duties are routine in nature and require a high degree of thoroughness, independence, initiative and time management. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain and repair County facilities, equipment, and buildings by performing a variety of semi-skilled carpentry, electrical, painting, welding, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical repair work; Perform minor plumbing repair work; repair sinks, toilets, faucets, and pipes; Operate small and large equipment including front end loaders, boom lifts, skid steer loaders, riding mowers, tractors with attachments, trucks, backhoe, etc.; Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment including power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, sewer augers, and various hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance work; Perform a variety of cleaning duties including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming, scrubbing, stripping, waxing floors, cleans and shampoos carpets, cleans, deodorizes, disinfects and restocks bathrooms as needed; Landscaping duties include spreading grass seed, fertilizer, planting, trimming and pruning trees and shrubs, sprays pesticides; install and adjust sprinklers and system; Performs assignments as part of a group, but may occasionally work alone; Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs; perform winterizing maintenance in facilities; remove snow; Uses vehicles, powered equipment and hand equipment to perform snow removal in roads and around buildings; Meeting room set-ups; sets up and takes down tables, chairs and other equipment for specific events; relocation of equipment and furniture, along with general repairs; Interacts with visitors daily in a courteous and effective manner; Receive assigned work orders from supervisor and prioritize with other work orders requiring completion; communicate with point of contact in order to obtain additional information to better prepare and complete work order; Qualifications and Skills Ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Knowledge of methods, practices, and equipment used in building cleaning and maintenance services and activities including a variety of basic building trades work. Experienced in basic tools and equipment used in building cleaning, maintenance, reconstruction, and repair work. Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary precautions applicable to assigned work. Skilled in the operation of heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner. Knowledge of basic plumbing, welding, painting, electrical, and carpentry work. Operate a variety of mechanical equipment in a safe and effective manner. Experience using and operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, and power tools and equipment. Knowledge of County policies, procedures, and codes related to facility cleaning, maintenance, and repair. Perform minor or routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Ability to perform basic repair and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment and plumbing fixtures; use power and manual hand tools; read and understand instruction manuals and diagrams; give and follow verbal and written instructions; organize work in proper step-by-step order and carry out assignments to completion; read blueprints sufficient to locate plumbing and electrical wiring; work cooperatively with others; observe safe work practices. Knowledge of custodial cleanliness standards, cleaning agents, and cleaning procedures. Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot building maintenance problems. Ability to take instruction, follow direction and multi-task. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, lower level technicians, co-workers, and other County employees. Job Summary The position ensures a smooth flow of information throughout the Office of States Attorney by coordinating office activities and performing a variety of specialized, complex and confidential administrative support duties including but not limited to: scheduling hearings, drafting legal correspondence, filing, typing, transcribing, answering phones and greeting visitors, clients, and court personnel. The work requires knowledge of secretarial and general office practices, strong attention to details and impeccable professionalism. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain the Office's Court Calendar by reconciling it twice daily to assure hearings, trials, depositions, meetings, team member leave requests, and other pertinent data is recorded and up to date; Welcomes, screens, and assists the general public, law enforcement personnel, social services, judges, court administration, victims, witnesses, defense attorneys', defendants, and other key partners; Reviews, prints, and distributes all incoming email correspondence accurately and timely; Performs filing, faxing, responding to incoming phone calls and messages, and preparing and sorting incoming/outgoing mail; Organizes and centrally locates court files for upcoming court appearances; Prepares initial files for the Victim Witness Program; Preserves and maintains client confidentiality; and Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of office support or clerical experience and should be able to work efficiently without supervision and have strong task management abilities Associate Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and training that provides similar knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the position. Requires proficiency in MS Office, spelling, punctuation, grammar word processing equipment and in oral communications.
