1983

Aten, Lawrence E. 1983 Indians of the Upper Texas Coast.

1984

1984 Woodland Cultures of the Texas Coast.

1986

In 1986, Mossy Oak founder and CEO Toxey Haas had the vision to take a handful of Mississippi dirt, sticks and leaves and transform it into a brand new type of camouflage.

In the beginning, it was Bottomland – first pattern introduced in 1986.

1995

By 1995, the Mossy Oak brand was growing in popularity with consumers, due to the values of our company and innovation with cutting-edge patterns like Break-Up and Shadow Grass.

1999

In 1999, the first Mossy Oak Properties real estate brokerage was opened in Livingston, Alabama, and Mossy Oak Biologic was also launched.

2000

As pointed out over a half century ago by pioneer Texas coastal archeologist T. N. Campbell, pottery identical to or reminiscent of that seen in those latter areas and dating as far as 2000 years ago, while not abundant, is commonly found in early Mossy Grove sites.

2002

Aten, Lawrence E. and Charles N. Bollich 2002 Late Holocene Settlement in the Taylor Bayou Drainage Basin: Test Excavations at the Gaulding Site (41JF27), Jefferson County, Texas.

2015

In 2015, Mossy Oak became the official camo of the NWTF and soon launched the updated Obsession.
