Hourly Pay: $16.90 - $19.80 Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discounts What You will Do โ€ข Greet every customer with a warm and welcoming attitude โ€ข Accurately ring up purchases using computerized registers โ€ข Bag groceries with care, keeping customer preferences in mind โ€ข Memorize product codes for produce and bulk items โ€ข Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift โ€ข Assist with store upkeep when not checking out customers (cleaning, stocking, facing shelves) โ€ข Help customers locate products and answer questions โ€ข Take and follow up on special orders with department managers โ€ข Ensure price accuracy and report discrepancies on shelf tags โ€ข Support overall store safety, cleanliness, and merchandising standards โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Lead Cashier What You Bring Experience & Skills: โ€ข Previous customer service experience (cashiering is a plus) โ€ข Basic math skills and attention to detail โ€ข Comfortable using computerized register systems โ€ข Clear communication skills in English (verbal and written) Customer Focus & Abilities: โ€ข Friendly, dependable, and approachable attitude โ€ข Able to multitask and stay accurate in a busy environment โ€ข Willing to jump in and support your team wherever needed โ€ข Eager to learn product knowledge and assist customers confidently Physical Requirements โ€ข Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift) โ€ข Frequent use of touchscreen registers and scanners โ€ข Push/pull products across the scanner and handle cash โ€ข Lift up to 50 lbs., bend, squat, reach overhead, and climb ladders โ€ข Answer phones and engage with customers face-to-face Schedule Requirements โ€ข Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Why Join Mother's Market? Apply accurate transaction and balancing practices. - Participate in the daily cage reconciliation process. - Comply with Federal Title 31 procedures. - Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations. - Ensure prompt and discreet notification to supervisors and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations. - Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned. - Perform work regularly and predictably. Qualifications EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent and two months of on-the-job training, and/or through related cashier experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc): - Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations. - Must successfully pass background check. - Must successfully pass drug screening. - Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. - Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred. - Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred. KNOWLEDGE OF: - Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power-Point. - Basic math skills. - 10-Key calculator. ABILITY TO: - Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed. - This position spends time on the Casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, and the severity of which depends upon guest volume. - Communicate effectively with outside contacts and all levels of team members. - Review, comprehend, analyze and assimilate reports, information generated on and by the computer and other necessary documentation. - Obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations. - Balance bank at end of shift. - Identify and accurately cash different denominations of gaming tokens, cash currency, checks, etc. Additional Details Closing: The Tribal Council gives first preference in all of its employment practices to members of the Enterprise Rancheria Tribe who meet the job requirements.
