Trailways of New York is the largest family-owned, intercity bus company in New York State. We carry passengers more than 8 million miles annually.

It began in 1926 when John Van Gonsic, Sr. purchased his first bus in Buffalo, NY and began the Rip Van Winkle Bus Company, which in 1933 became Adirondack Transit Lines, Inc., and is now known as Adirondack Trailways. The growth of the company continued. In 1965 the Pine Hill-Kingston Bus Corporation was purchased, now known as Pine Hill Trailways. In 1994 Empire Trailways of Rochester, NY was purchased and incorporated as Passenger Bus Corp. now known as New York Trailways. To this day the Berardi/Van Gonsic families own all three companies.

We are looking for a Motor Coach Operator who is a self-starter that can manage their day, time effectively and safely. The role requires a day-to-day self-managed working environment and will involve very little supervision.

We provide a wide range of passenger transportation services including shuttle service, crew transports, group events, transportation management and more locally and across the United States. We pride ourselves with exceptional tenured drivers and we are constantly upgrading our fleet.

Business is running strong and we are looking for full-time and part-time drivers who are responsible and dedicated to do the right thing providing excellent customer service along with a safe driving record and drug free. Our full-time drivers earn $50,000 - $60,000 a year plus tips. Drivers must have open availability for scheduling, as jobs may occur in the morning, afternoon or evening hours throughout the week and weekend.


Qualifications/Education/Skills
:

  • Must have valid Louisiana CDL with Passenger endorsement
  • Ability to operate a large size coach
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Class B vehicle service
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to perform basic math.
  • Must be 23 years of age or older
  • Ability to load and unload luggage and parcels 50 pounds

  • (If applicable) Mentors, as appointed by Operations Supervisor, newly hired drivers, during department orientation
