Responsibilities The Transport Patient Engagement Specialist transports incoming patients to the treatment facility. This individual is the first staff point of contact for all patients who require transportation to a facility. The individual ensures safe, secure, and comfortable travel for all new admits. Maintain demonstration of values and mission statement. Establishes communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and patient satisfaction. Transports patients to the facility to designated areas in an efficient and timely manner. Follows routing and scheduling instructions given by the Dispatch Manager. Accompanies patients inside the facility upon arrival and delivers communication to the Receptionist and Dispatch Manager regarding the drop off. Offers comfort and support to patients and their families. Respects and protects patient confidence and hospital confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private. Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients and their possessions. Possesses excellent driving capabilities. Possesses the ability to de-escalate situations.
