Job Description
New Product Introduction (NPI) Process Engineering provides management direction of all phases of in-house or outsourced manufacturing for a product (or product line) through the new product introduction phases.

* Ensures that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.
* Responsible for creating requirements and specifications for production manufacturing tools and assembly procedures, either directly with development teams or by collaborating with product engineers/factories.
* Work with Fixturing vendors to develop and implement tools/fixtures/jigs to support Device and PCB assembly.
* Responsible for new process development and implementation for device and PCBA - work closely with Development Engineering and Manufacturing team on continuous improvement to develop and optimize overall manufacturing process including product yield and throughput aspects.
* Act as liaison between Design Engineering and Manufacturing with respect to new product launch efforts.
* Knowledge and experience with component engineering aspects as it relates to part specifications, validation through sample procurement and verification.
* Monitor Product Yields on a daily basis and work with appropriate engineers to take corrective actions when trends indicate equipment and/or process issues.
