Job Description
Our world is changing faster than ever with increasing ambiguity, and speed. We know the value of good research and design in helping our users adapt to these changing conditions, making them safer and more efficient than ever. Our primary customer base includes Public Safety, Enterprise, and Business, with products including portable and mobile communication and data devices.
As a UX Research Intern, you will be part of a community of researchers and designers tasked with overcoming complicated user challenges, transforming them into meaningful and critical experiences. You should already have a strong foundation in qualitative and quantitative research methods and a demonstrated ability to observe users and evaluate system performance across a range of roles, tasks and environmental conditions. You will work with a small, distributed and highly collaborative team to investigate user needs, behavior and workflows, and use research insights to help envision new design solutions that demonstrate sound design practices.
Scope of responsibilities:
* The User Experience Research Intern will conduct research for end to end solutions for public safety and commercial customers across diverse areas.
* Collaborate with other researchers to capture and synthesize insights to work with other designers to ideate, prototype and deliver designs.
* Be someone that will approach the project as part of a greater strategy.
* The User Experience Research intern is encouraged and expected to innovate and be creative in their approach and implementation.

As the team expands its measurement and evaluative research capabilities, we are seeking a Senior UX Researcher with a strong mixed-methods (with a quant emphasis) background to establish best practices, deliver impactful insights, and raise research maturity across our portfolio
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to lead evaluative and measurement-focused UX research within mission-critical environments. You will design and execute studies that demonstrate the impact of research on product, design, and business outcomes, while shaping how behavioral insights inform strategy.
What You'll Do
* Establish a UX Metrics Practice: Define, implement, and own the key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for user experience. This includes establishing frameworks for measuring usability, satisfaction (e.g., SUS, CSAT), and task success.
* Lead Quantitative Research: Design, launch, and analyze large-scale quantitative research studies, including surveys, A/B tests, and behavioral data analysis from product analytics platforms.
* Champion Qualitative Rigor: Lead and execute foundational and evaluative qualitative research, including in-depth interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing.
* Synthesize and Triangulate: Masterfully weave together quantitative and qualitative data to create a holistic, comprehensive understanding of our users. You will be responsible for telling the full story, connecting the "what" from analytics with the "why" from qualitative insights.
* Strategic Influence: Translate research findings into actionable, strategic recommendations that directly inform product roadmaps, design decisions, and business strategy.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with leaders in Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Data Science to identify research needs, align on priorities, and drive user-centered outcomes.
* Mentorship & Advocacy: Act as a thought leader and mentor for UX research within the company. Educate and empower team members to apply research best practices and develop a deeper appreciation for both quantitative and qualitative methods.

What We're Looking For
* Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience conducting research in large matrixed organizations and complex product structures, with at least 2 years of experience managing junior to mid-level researchers.
* Education: Masters Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or a related field.
* Scaling Metrics and Driving Change: Expert at establishing and scaling a company-wide metrics practice. You have a clear history of leveraging experience metrics to define product success and deliver measurable, user-centric improvements.
* Quantifying Research ROI: Proven expertise in defining and tracking the business impact of a UX Research team. You consistently link changes in user metrics (behavior, satisfaction) directly to measurable financial or strategic returns, making the value of research undeniable.
* Technical Expertise: Expert in utilizing both behavioral and attitudinal data to extract insights. Proficient in experimental design, survey methodology, and advanced statistical analysis. Expert with tools like Pendo and Qualtrics . Experience with data manipulation (SQL, Python) or statistical software (R, SPSS) is a plus.
* In-Person Research Expertise: Proven experience planning, recruiting for, and conducting a range of in-person research, including ethnographic-style fieldwork, contextual inquiries in users' natural environments, and on-site usability testing.
* Mixed-Methods Portfolio: A portfolio of work that showcases your ability to integrate diverse data sources to answer complex research questions and drive impact.
* Strategic Thinker & Self Starter: You don't just answer the questions you're given; you identify the right questions to ask to move the business forward. You are a self-starter with a proven record of launching initiatives independently and with minimal supervision

Role Overview

Role Overview

* Create and leverage advanced testing frameworks to generate and recreate real-world system integration conditions
* Collaborates with Architecture, Software , Firmware, Design , Modeling, Emulation and Post-silicon validation teams to define and develop test methodology and content
* Participate in GPU architecture, micro-architecture reviews
* Collect, organize and execute various forms of system level test content including directed testcases, gaming benchmarks, standards compliance testsuites, and system level scenarios
* Build automation for continue integration and testing based on latest GPU IP
* Help collect and analyze test results using straightforward statistics and data predictions to track benchmarks and identify issues
* Works with team members to understand and align on narrow scope of feature development and meet targets.
* Write technical documentation and feature descriptions for straightforward projects under the direction of a supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5+ years Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience
* Verification skills: Test planning, Scripting, Simulation, problem solving and debug.
* System Verilog, UVM, Verilog or VHDL, C/C++ skills required.
* Constrained random, Functional Coverage development, design debug experience required.
* Exposure to Emulation/Prototyping Platforms (Veloce, Palladium, Zebu, FPGA)
* Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
* 2+ years relevant GPU experience (either external or internal).
PREFERRED SKILLS
* Experience in GPU based verification
* Experience in system or sub-system level verification
* Concurrency, Preemption, Stress testing frameworks
* Testbench Architecture and Implementation
* GFX API Exposure : Vulkan/DX11/DX12 Exposure

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$161,800.00 - $242,600.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
