What you will do: * Greets patients and correctly, enters physician orders into the laboratory computer system obtaining any necessary information from the outpatients. * Performs patient registration duties as required. * Performs proper patient identification during all specimen collections. * Answers phones, completes requests, and relays messages. * Maintains current knowledge of all computer applications necessary to carry out job duties. * Provides clear and complete communication and documentation to co-workers, patients, and clients using all tools available. * Regularly demonstrates the ability to serve patients of all ages in the routine performance of duties. What you will need: * High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate preferred. * Previous phlebotomy experience preferred. * Must be currently certified in CPR/BLS (and recertified bi-annually). * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive impression of the Medical Center at all times. Ability to handle sensitive telephone and face-to-face inquiries. * Computer skills required. * Ability to be mobile. * Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request
