Certification for two (2) years as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) is required. 3. Certification for two (2) years as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) is required. 4. Proficiency in Cardiac Ultrasound with the ability to work independently is required, as evidenced by a minimum of three (3) years of cardiac sonography experience. 5. Cardiac ultrasound experience with pulsed, continuous wave and color flow doppler abilities as well as demonstrated knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy and Physiology is required. 6. Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course is required. Successful completion of an Advanced Arrhythmia class is preferred. 7. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required. 8. Medical terminology, computer and technical skills are required. 9.
