When fully staffed, our physics team includes 3 full time physicists, 2 per diem physicists and 3 dosimetrists. We treat 40-70 patients daily together with 3 full time and 1 part time attending physicians on Varian TrueBeam and Clinac iX linacs. Our department manages a wide range of treatment sites and maintains active SRS, SBRT, and HDR programs, along with LDR and radiopharmaceutical therapies.
We are proud to host an ACGME-accredited Radiation Oncology residency program with 4 residents. Serve as a clinical training site for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's dosimetry program and maintain ACR accreditation.
Our department is equipped with:
Varian Aria, Eclipse, and Velocity
Radformation tools: ClearCheck, ClearCalc, ChartCheck, AutoContour, QuickCode, and EzFluence

Support from a dedicated radiation oncology-specific IT team

Required Criteria
M.S. in physics, medical physics or related field and at least three years of clinical radiation oncology physics working experience required for the staff medical physicist, or a Ph.D. in basic physics or medical physics.
If the candidate holds a Ph.D. in basic physics or related field then the candidate should have either completed a postdoctoral fellowship/traineeship in medical physics or graduated from an accredited program conferring a M.S. in medical physics. At least two years of clinical physics experience required (years towards a hospital based medical physics traineeship or M.S. program in medical physics included)

In this role, you will:
Identify and engage caregivers of adults who are 65 and older through admission/rounds flags and referrals; obtain consent and explain program scope.
Conduct brief structured screens using evidence-based tools (e.g., PHQ‑2/9, GAD‑2/7, brief caregiver‑burden check, health‑literacy and SDOH prompts).
Facilitate a concise “What Matters” conversation to elicit the caregiver's priority needs and preferences; co‑create an action plan focused on1-3 priority areas.
Provide tailored resource packets (education, benefits, respite, mental health, community‑based supports); use teach‑back to ensure understanding and feasibility.

We require:
MSW from an accredited School of Social Work; NYS licensure or permit as applicable.
Minimum 1 year in medical, geriatric, primary care, or community health social work experience with brief screening, goal‑setting, and resource navigation preferred.
Motivational interviewing or equivalent brief counseling; familiarity with evidence-based screening tools (eg, PHQ/GAD screening); knowledge of accessible and relevant caregiver resources (respite, benefits, mental health); EMR proficiency; strong communication and teamwork.
