In addition, it offers various chemical auxiliaries for textile dyeing and finishing, such as lubricants and softeners, as well as chemicals for personal care and other non-textile uses; textile sizing and other dry chemical products, such as adhesives to customers in the United States and internationally; and specialty and commodity chemicals for personal care, textiles, metal lubricants, and many other markets. Further, the company provides truckload and less-than-truckload hauling services to internal and external customers throughout the United States; and manufactures pocketings and other apparel trim items for pants, shirts, outerwear, tapes, book bindings, artists' canvas, gloves, abrasive fabrics, pocketings and trim items, military apparel components, electronic composites, tablecloths and napkins, coated fabrics, flags, surgical towels, boat covers, filtration media, and beltings, as well as for home furnishings, including drapery, interlinings, sheets, decking, and awnings. Furthermore, it offers fabrics for paint rollers and for seating surfaces. Mount Vernon Mills, Inc. was formerly known as Mount Vernon-Woodbury Mills and changed its name to Mount Vernon Mills, Inc. in 1956. The company was founded in 1847 and is based in Mauldin, South Carolina with locations in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia.
