Responsibilities Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, transcribes abbreviated and symbolized information from physician's orders onto patient medication profile, through manual and computer entry. Selects and prepares medications, pharmaceutical products, and intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapeutic agents. Assists in thee dispensing and distribution of medications. Maintains pharmacy merchandise and equipment. Reviews medication cassettes for returned medication; types of units does and intravenous admixture labels; transports pharmacy merchandise. Performs other duties as required.
