Location: Mokup papa Discovery Center for the Papah naumoku kea Marine National Monument (PMNM) in Hilo, HI The Outreach Specialist builds and maintains strategic partnerships in the community and is responsible for supporting coordination of stakeholder engagement and input in Native Hawaiian focused areas related to PMNM. The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is committed to a culture of inclusion, equity, and belonging. This person in this position will be an employee of the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, supporting the scope of a Cooperative Agreement with NOAA s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. This position will be embedded with the staff at Papah naumoku kea Marine National Monument at the Mokup papa Discovery Center in Hilo, Hawaii. The Education and Native Hawaiian Outreach Specialist is responsible for working with the Mokup papa Discovery Center (MDC) Manager, Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator to plan and implement community outreach programs, and specifically to integrate Native Hawaiian perspectives into monument programs which address major ecological, biological, geological and cultural interpretive themes related to Papah naumoku kea.

This role will be working primarily in the Power Distribution commodities, but will time to time manage other Semiconductor Projects. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work with most of the business units of Applied Materials, and manage highly visible projects

The projects will include

  • Design Phase

  • NPI and Production sourcing agreements

  • Initial Builds

  • Design updates

  • Production Release

  • Ensuring robust supply chain which apply lessons learned from previous projects

  • This role will ensure commonality of developed BKMs are applied to all steps of the project, which will span areas from communication methodologies, supply chain strategies, component selections for design, and BU cut in plans. Weekly reports and status updates on major projects will be expected and will be used to accumulate monthly and quarterly report outs to executive management.

    At times this candidate may be assigned to fill in roles for Materials Program Management or Supply Chain Management roles depending on the available resources for the project in question.

    Key Responsibilities

    Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.

    Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.

    Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.

    Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.

    Effectively work with other staff to maximize productivity for the project / program.
