Promotes patient safety by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals and maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
Participates in audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrates responsible decision-making in planning, delegating, and providing care based on patient needs and organizational policies.
Documents patient care and education thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
Engages in professional development to maintain clinical competency and understanding of current nursing standards and regulations.

Qualifications
0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.

Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Practice Highlights:
4-5 cases per day
Management of all pediatric surgical cases (general, cardiac, ENT, GI, etc) along with cath lab cases ages 0-18
Support Staff: Anesthesia Tech in OR
Call Expectations: 1:3. No more than 10 days per month
Hours per day: standard 8-hour shift
What We're Seeking:
Candidates must hold an M.D. degree or equivalent, successfully have completed a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship and must be ABA board certified.
Pediatric Anesthesiologists participate in the care of pediatric patients undergoing surgery or diagnostic testing
Pre-anesthesia evaluation of pediatric patients undergoing surgery, invasive procedure or diagnostic testing at Presbyterian Hospital
A minimum of three years of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology experience with demonstrated proficiency in the anesthetic management of children and adults with congenital heart disease is required.

Responsibilities
Positioning the patient for surgery and aiding with draping
Clearing the area where the surgeon will operate and holding open incisions by using tissue retractors, sponges, or operating
suction or irrigation equipment
Selecting and passing instruments and supplies during an operation
Stopping bleeding by sponging, clamping, tying, or cauterizing vessels, or suturing tissue layers as directed by the surgeon
Applying dressings to surgical wounds
Counting sponges, needles, and other materials before and after the operation
Closing the incision at the end of the procedure
Follow facility protocol and policy as well as other state and federal laws and regulations
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited surgical first assistant program. Associates degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as Surgical Tech. Preferred experience as a CSFA or SA-C in diverse surgical specialties and proficiency with robotic and minimally invasive surgical
techniques.
Certifications: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CFSA) or Surgical Assistant-Certified (SA-C) required
BLS - Basic Life Support required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred

Summary:The Physician Advisor is a key member of the healthcare organizations leadership team and is charged with meeting the organizations goals and objectives for assuring the effective, efficient utilization of health care services. Primary Score of Service:The Physician Advisor works closely with Medical Staff leadership, the entire medical staff, case management, social services, discharge planning and utilization management to develop and implement methods to optimize use of hospital services for all patients while also ensuring the quality of care provided. This includes working with providers, hospital leadership, case management to optimize length of hospital stay, ensuring efficient management of resources and ensuring patients are in the appropriate level of care. This involves reviewing documentation to support current level of care, monitoring appropriate use of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities and ensuring compliance with government and payer rules for continued hospital care.

Qualifications
