An Activities Therapist who excels in this role:
Applies appropriate theory and standards for decision and actions regarding therapeutic practices
Assesses patient needs utilizing cultural, religious, and physical disabilities, in the determination of capabilities in groups and with specific activities
Documents the patient's response to interventions pertinent to patient treatment on daily/weekly progress status, as appropriate
Completes all assessments within the time frame allotted and contributes to assessment workload balance between therapists
Formulates the initial and subsequent treatment programs in accordance with the attending physician's/licensed practitioner's treatment orders
Develops a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives, and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs
Provides therapy treatment procedures according to the treatments plan, communicate, and work with the patient to achieve the greatest benefit and resolution

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in Recreational Therapist (CTRS), Music Therapy (MT-BC), or Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P LPAT). Additional requirements include:
Current CTRS, Certified Music Therapist, or Certified Art Therapist license in the state of Ohio required

This position functions as a fully integrated team member of the residential-based crisis stabilization team. Job Description:
Description: : The TCHATT Therapist functions as a part of the TCHATT, (Texas Child Health Through Telemedicine) team. This position will work on a multidisciplinary team and communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as school counselors and nurses. The TCHATT Therapist will be expected to provide assessment, short term treatment, and referral services to children, adolescents, and families as referred to the TCHATT program. In addition to providing education to patients and families in relation to identified goals, this role may also provide education to school staff on utilization of the TCHATT program. This position functions as part of a mobile team.
Typical Duties:
* Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
* Efficiently and effectively interacts with team members, internal and external partners to accomplish essential tasks.
* Engages school staff to facilitate referrals.
* Creates and conducts presentations in the community and schools to increase knowledge/awareness of both behavioral and emotional stressors and symptoms.
* Provides therapy through telemedicine.
* Provide assessments and referral services to elementary through high school ages.
* Conducts both clinical assessment and screening for identified children/adolescents.
* Delivers client-centered, evidence-based therapies.
* Documents treatment goals and plans according to procedures.
* Refers for services outside scope of practice as needed.
* Refers patients to appropriate level of ongoing care.
* Identifies appropriate referral sources in the area of the school district served.
* Participates in community outreach activities to raise awareness as needed.
* Participates in regular team meetings.
* Handles confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion and adherence to HIPAA rules.
* Promotes the JPS Health Network mission, vision, and values.
* Travel may be required within a 9 county region (Tarrant, Parker, Wise, Cooke, Erath, Palo Pinto, Jack, Montague, and Clay counties).
* Performs other Job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field of study.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
* Must have current licensure from Texas in one of the following: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners or the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.
* Certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention required but may be obtained subsequent to hire.
* BCLS certification required but may be obtained subsequent to hire.
* Valid Texas Driver's License in good standing.
Preferred Education and Experience:
* Experience assessing and providing psychotherapy to children and families.
* Bilingual.
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

Responsibilities
CLINICAL CARE:
Consistently provide primarily independent therapy sessions for patients diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders.
Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on the needs of the clinic's patient population and caseload, aligned with scientific best-practice guidelines.
Demonstrate competency for individual counseling, offering occasional individual counselor sessions as appropriate.
PATIENT CARE COORDINATION
Assist with treatment planning and reviewing progress towards treatment plan goals.
Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
Carry and effectively manage a caseload of patients
DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
Ensure adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.
MEETING AND COLLABORATION
Attends required meetings including but not limited to all on-site staff meetings, supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings.
Attend required meetings including individual and group supervision, multidisciplinary team meeting, and quarterly in-service.
TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP
Occasional training/onboarding support for new hire Counselor I.
Training, onboarding, and mentorship support for new hire counselors within the site or adjacent clinics.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView's patients.
Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients.

Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment
Technologically capable, comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation purposes. Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred.

Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired
