In 1971 the clearinghouse was sold, and a year later the firm would first resemble the modern-day team as fully independent cash brokers, known as W.M Simeral & Co based in the suburbs of Chicago.
MPBC was founded in 1976, as a spin-off of RCA Canada’s Research and Development Laboratories by Doctor M.P. Bachynski.
At this time, the firm was focused on tropical oils, soybean oil and growing their expertise in logistics management with the establishment of Ryco, Inc in 1983 which served as a railcar management company (a wholly-owned subsidiary of WMS).
In 1984, William Simeral retired, and his sons Bill & Steve would take the reigns for the 2nd generation of the business.
ACHC is a nationally recognized leader in Behavioral Health Accreditation. It is a nonprofit accreditation organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986.
After cycling through a few different owners, MPB was bought out by Timken in 1990.
With the advent of all optical systems in the late 1990’s, MPBC developed a series of Optical Line Enhancing transmission equipment for repeaterless systems - to extend the reach of fiber optic systems without regeneration.
MPB Group was founded in 2003.
2007 – As the needs of the community grew, Dr Brewer’s desire grew to help individuals overcome their mental health needs.
Founded by Matt Barker in 2011, MPB has always been committed to making kit more accessible and affordable, and helping to visualize a more sustainable future.
2017 was a marquee year for the firm, as the ownership of the firm transition to a 3rdGeneration with Ryan & Valerie Simeral helping to lead the firm into the future.
2018 – MPB Group was accredited by the Accreditation Commission For Health Care (ACHC)
Our commitment to excellence in our Behavioral Health Program was recognized in 2020 with the Best of Columbia Awards in the category of Local Business.
