As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This is a part-time position, working 36 hours per week. Shifts are three days, working 12-hours shifts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient MRI Imaging Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements (5%) MRI Department Support Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Collaborate with other parties to resolve MRI quality issues. * Provide Direct Patient Care Transport patients to and from their respective department, follow sterilization procedures, and use caution when in direct contact with patients. Handle hazardous materials and ensure that there is no patient cross-contamination. * Sterilize X-Ray Equipment and Maintenance Sterilize and clean radiologic equipment. Perform aseptic techniques according to established standards of care and infection control. Ensure all equipment is safe for use and free of any unhealthy bacteria. * MRI Completes all MIR exams and procedures, obtaining optimal images for physician review according to policy and protocol. * Collaboration Collaborates on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure. * Patient Records Confirms patient identity. Obtains and records patient identification, medical history, or test results. Reviews and updates patient documentation in EMR and PACS. * Patient Records Obtains and reviews all history of ferrous implants and other possible contraindication for scanning in a magnetic field. * Venipuncture Performs venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media. * Inventory Cleans, maintains, and restocks examination and inventory rooms. * Safety Protocol Practices established safety guidelines and uses mire safety tools and techniques. Requirements 1. Vocational/Technical or Associate degree in radiological technology from accredited X-Ray technician program. 2. Previous related experience preferred. 3. Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills; sometimes under pressure. 4. Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities. 5. Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors. 6. Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, insurance companies and general public. 7. Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems. 8. Evidence of leadership qualities. 9. The ability to contribute in a team environment and/or independently, to provide excellent customer service. 10. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
