Operate closed and open scanners.

Communicate effectively with radiologists to determine exam protocols, etc.

Independently problem solves and utilizes resources to obtain patient information when patient is unable to communicate. Assists in clerical duties as needed, functioning as a member of the health care team.
Maintains proper and appropriate records, logs and statistics of all patients seen in imaging centers. Develops and maintains monthly QA reports for imaging equipment.
Potentially may participate in clinical research studies in cooperation with outside referring physicians, maintaining valid data for Department of Neuroimaging. Develops and maintains educational case studies as requested, maintaining teaching files and lecture presentation materials. Under direction of Dent Neuroimaging physicians, assists in the education and training of Neuroimaging residents and fellows in performance of MRI studies.
Continually becomes educated on necessary protocols and/or changes to ensure all patient needs and ACR accreditation needs are met.
Administers IV contrast, injection and oral medications as per written/verbal MD order and imaging policy.
Maintains acceptable working conditions, assisting in development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote a safe, effective, quality driven work environment. Maintains competence through continuing education and in-service training.
Interacts calmly, respectfully and in a friendly manner with other representatives of services at the Dent.
Refers patients to proper clinical resources for health care questions and to proper personnel for Dent policies such as billing and or financial support. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

A magnetic resonance (MR) Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures and related clerical functions at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. The Lead MRI Technologists should mentor new technologists.
* The technologist should attempt the ARRT exam the first time around the 12 month post hire timeframe. This will allow the technologist plenty of time to attempt the ARRT/ARMRIT exam a minimum of 3 attempts if needed.

Performs all duties of a MRI Technologist including:
MRI procedures
Starting IV lines on patients using proper technique
Communicates with patients regarding medical history, symptoms and explanation of procedures with associated documentation.
Follows strict MRI safety guidelines at all times.
Provides clear and thorough explanation of procedures to patients.
Records all contrast injections administered to patients along with any complications of contrast injections
Enters data in Radiology Information System, assuring accuracy and completeness.
Verifies accuracy of orders prior to examining the patient.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area, provides quality control processes when necessary and ensures the safety of patients in the department.
Attends to the medical needs of patients at all times. Maintains patient modesty at all times.
Helps fellow technologists when not busy with MRI specific duties.
Restocks supplies and maintains a list of things to be ordered.

MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.
Responsibilities will include:
Gather and Analyze Patient Information
Collect, analyze and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (Physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history), and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols
Complete and verify documentation
Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient
Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary.
Verify patient video recording(s) is operating properly per laboratory standard protocol
Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary. Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
Follow procedural protocols such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration etc. to ensure collection of appropriate data.
Follow “lights out” procedures to establish and document baseline values (such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.)
Perform Polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact- free and make adjustments, if necessary.
Document observations every 20 minutes on recording and in technical comments to include: sleep stage, clinical events, position changes, pressure changes, SaO2 values, heart rate, and respiratory rate, changes in procedure, and significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
Pay Range - $40-44 Depending on experience (no gaps in working as an RPSGT for more than two months)
