What you will do
Function as part of a cohesive team Selects the appropriate software/hardware and equipment imaging techniques.
Knowledge of radiation safety & protection along with appropriate infection control policies implemented by the department and hospital.
Ability to assess patient's condition performs intravenous injections of CT contrast and ensures patient safety through proper use of equipment.
Ability to review each examination for technical accuracy, presents competed exams to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), CT Scan Registry preferred Must be graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience: 1-year experience working in a CAT Scan Technologist capacity preferred.
Certification: State licensure as a Radiographer. Registry eligible candidates have one year from date of hire to provide supporting documentation that they have passed the licensure exam.

Job Summary
The MRITechnologist is responsible for providing high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging services with minimal supervision. The MRITechnologist serves as a positive role model while working in collaboration with all levels of departmental personnel, ensuring and providing a safe working environment and adhering to all patient safety protocols and practice.
This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
This position reports to the Supervisor, MRI and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Associate's degree required. For those candidates who meet the requirements of licensing and registration agencies and have been grandfathered by those agencies, Associate's degree requirement may be waived, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required - Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; MR registered or pending MR registration required within 18 months - Current American Heart Association BLS certification required - One (1) to two (2) years MR experience and/or training required - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required, as well as a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy required - Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and organizational skills required - Demonstrated ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required
