Work Schedule:
Monday - Wednesday, 10-hour shifts
Alternating Saturday or Sunday, 8-hour shifts

This is a non-exempt hourly position with possible earnings of $149k - $157k/year with a $20,000 sign-on bonus, plus relocation and travel allowance for longer commutes.
The hourly range for this role is $70/hr. to $74/hr., with daily guaranteed overtime (3-10 hour shifts) however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for a performance-based merit increase annually. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.

The general MRItechnologist is a journey-level position or up to 2-years' experience working in either a clinic or acute care hospital facility. Provides MRI care covering the range of services that would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility, at a standard of care that equals or exceeds VA Standards and the TJC
Adheres to the ARRT Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards in the science of radiology to improve the quality of services to VA patients
Promotes the safe and effective use of diagnostic radiology through the utilization of specific training, skills, and techniques
Performs organ-specific and subspecialty-specific imaging including:

Qualifications
High School Diploma
Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program
ARRT (MR) certification is required
Maintains current certification for venipuncture, registry and continuing education credits necessary for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with advanced licensure in MRI as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-MR).
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
A minimum of two (2) years of proven clinical experience in MRI Imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting
Must have proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months
Prior work experience with the GE 1.5T, GE 3.0T, and SIEMENS MAGNETOM SKYRA within the past 24 months is preferred
Prior VA experience is desirable

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform MRI procedures on patients with a referral from a medical provider.
Explain MRI procedure to patients
Communicate with patient during MRI procedure
Capacity to follow ordering providers' orders in conjunction with the Radiologist protocols
Sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the patients
Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Knowledge of safe MRI practice as outlined from the ACR
Submit images per ACR guidelines every four years for re-accreditation.
Comply with safety regulations involving the use of MRI to protect yourself, patients and other staff members.
Call in service for MRI equipment when needed
Conduct QA on MRI Equipment and keep accurate and up to date logs
Must have venipuncture license and the ability to inject contrast
Communicate STAT result to Radiologist
Follow-up on STAT results with referring provider
Knowledge of budget guidelines for ordering supplies
Attend staff meetings (may occur outside of office hours)
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Communicate with practice manager on any related issues from above
Communicate with Radiologist on MRI best practice as needed
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
ARRT, CRT, BLS for healthcare providers, venipuncture licensure required
3T experience preferred
Ability to work Thursday through Sunday between 4-10 hours
Must be able to work extended hours when necessary
Must have sufficient stamina and physical strength to maneuver patients and MRI coils
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Qualifications
High School Diploma
Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program
ARRT (MR) certification is required
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
A minimum of two (2) years of proven clinical experience in MRI Imaging in a Level 1 hospital setting
Must have proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months
Prior work experience with the GE 1.5T, GE 3.0T, and SIEMENS MAGNETOM SKYRA within the past 24 months is preferred
Prior VA experience is desirable
