Must have working knowledge of conventional Radiology. Must be able to operate all X-ray equipment and PACS. Prepares exam room, equipment, supplies and medications for patient's procedures and is responsible for patient education. Proven competency in addition to conventional radiography, working knowledge in at least one other area CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology if applicable competencies are met. May be required to take call. Minimum Experience/Skills: 1 year experience preferred for additional modalities. License/Certificates/Credentials: Current BLS for Healthcare Providers. Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California, Radiological Health Section, Department of Health, current license by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), current Fluoroscopy permit. If no current Fluoroscopy permit at time of hire, must obtain Fluoroscopy, permit within six (6) months of employment at DMC. If permit is not obtained at the conclusion of six (6), months, employment with DMC will be terminated. Physical Demands: Frequent standing/walking. Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force. Transfer patients, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity, adequate vocal pitch and volume, ability to move quickly.
