Utilizes proper MRI safety parameters and age appropriate immobilizers to product high quality MRI scans. Processes digital images. Critiques images for diagnostic quality. 3. Under the supervision of radiologist/physician demonstrates knowledge and ability to administer and document contrast according to standards for patients of all ages. Assists radiologist/ physician in the performance of diagnostic MRI procedures with patients of all ages performing support functions. 4. Demonstrates the ability and knowledge to identity educational needs, obtains patient history and provide information in an easily understood terminology with clear communication style about procedures and care to patients of various ages. Determine appropriateness of procedure based on the above. 5. Maintains equipment and facilities in a safe, clean condition. Reports equipment malfunctions. Demonstrates awareness of safety standards for self and assigned area. Performs all quality control checks as prescribed and maintains accurate QC logs. 6. Operates magnetic resonance equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes and assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a Radiologist/Physician.
