Job Overview Perform Computed Tomography (CT) scan procedures on assigned patients according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Perform CT scan procedures that follow radiological standards in a safe, accurate and timely manner, meet the American College of Radiology (ACR) imaging standards and allow the radiologist and/or physician to make a radiological diagnosis. Responsible for designated areas and/or procedures as assigned. Work cooperatively within departments and other service lines to create a system of quality health care. We are pleased to offer a per diem pay rate of $60/hour plus applicable shift differentials. Our MRI Technologists work with cutting-edge technology, including a new 1.5T scanner, and have a positive impact on patients on a daily basis. Under the supervision of the MRI Manager, the MRI Team Leader and MRI Safety Officer, the technologist performs a variety of routine and advanced MRI procedures in the presence of a strong magnetic field while monitoring and maintaining essential patient care and safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Includes preparing patient, positioning, setting imaging parameters, performing computer processing, and displaying images. 2. Performs scheduled quality control procedures on MRI scanners and other related equipment. Records QA results as required. Quality controls all images, maintains inventory and adheres to safety regulations. a. Checks all images to assure quality of exam. b. Checks inventory of contrast, IV supplies and paper products daily e. Trains department personnel, including students, on how to perform a CAT Scan. 7. Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology to obtain the maximum diagnostic image corresponding to body parts. a. Reviews exam request to determine area of interest. b. Uses practical knowledge of anatomy for proper positioning to obtain maximum diagnostic information, as evidenced by the image taken. c.
