The department operates 4 Varian linear accelerators, including 3 matched Varian TrueBeams and 1 Varian Edge, each supported by CBCT, RPM and AlignRT systems for imaging, motion management and surface guidance. A Client CT Simulator with RPM supports simulation and treatment planning, ensuring precise and efficient workflows. Additionally, the department includes a Varian Bravos HDR brachytherapy unit and a Gamma Knife ICON for stereotactic radiosurgery.
The Radiation Oncology department at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hecktown Oaks, is a satellite facility located approximately 20 miles from Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Easton, PA. This location includes a Varian TrueBeam with CBCT, RPM and AlignRT and a Client CT Simulator with RGSC.
The team across both sites uses centralized software packages, with Varian Aria as the Record and Verify system, Varian Eclipse for treatment planning, and Epic as the EMR. All software, workflows, documentation and policies are standardized across the sites to ensure consistency and quality in all treatment planning and delivery.

The research MRItechnologist's principal duties and responsibilities include: scanning adult and pediatric research participants using a broad range of established and new methods; ensuring participant safety; collaboration on the development of imaging protocols; troubleshooting and implementing changes to existing protocols in collaboration with the investigators; conducting safety training, and other related duties. This position requires a motivated, independent, well-organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging including high-field scanning and/or familiarity with MRI in a research-oriented facility. Position Summary
The MRITechnologist will perform MRI imaging procedures on patients, following accepted standards of practice and protocols. This role includes preparing patients, maintaining patient comfort and safety, administering contrast agents, performing equipment quality checks, and completing all required documentation. The MRITechnologist collaborates with healthcare personnel, adheres to facility policies, and ensures compliance with safety, quality assurance, and confidentiality standards. This is a full time Monday-Friday position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to protocols and standards of practice.
Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and care.
Administer contrast agents per site-specific protocols.
Perform equipment quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate service calls as needed.
Maintain technical competency through ongoing education.
Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with all facility policies and procedures.
Provide images to facilities in the required format.
Maintain a clean environment in the imaging suite and surrounding areas.
Complete all administrative and documentation tasks accurately.
Follow quality assurance guidelines, patient confidentiality regulations, and all safety policies.
Assist with setup and teardown of equipment as needed following SMS and manufacturer guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRITechnologist in a clinical or hospital setting

Work with Center Director to document incidents that occur at the facility.
Screen patients for any precautions or contraindications prior to them entering the magnetic field and thoroughly research all implants, devices, etc.

Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
Conduct patient safety screening prior to exam.

The Social, Life and Engineering Sciences Imaging Center (SLEIC ********************* a unit within the Social Science Research Institute at Penn State University has an opening for an MRITechnologist.
The imaging center contributes to Penn State's thriving research environment by providing state-of-the art magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (primarily brain imaging) and data analysis facilities. We are looking for a motivated, independent, well-organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
The 40 hour a week work schedule will vary based on the weekly scanning schedule but will require at a minimum 3-4 afternoons/evenings until 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM EST and every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST.
Responsibilities: The Research MRITechnologist will have the following responsibilities:
* Scanning adult and pediatric research participants, using a broad range of established and new methods
* Ensuring participant safety
* Collaboration on the development of new imaging protocols
* Assisting investigators with troubleshooting and implementing changes to existing protocols
* Conducting investigator/staff safety training
* Other related duties.
Education and Experience: Experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging including high-field scanning is preferred. Experience conducting MRI research in a research-oriented facility is preferred.
All candidates for this position must be registered as an RT/MRITechnologist with MRI certification.

**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
This job is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level in accordance with established protocols established by management to facilitate the consistency of results. Work involves performing MRI scans, including a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of MRI operating equipment.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ Must be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT) registered within six (6) months of employment
+ Must be MRI registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR)(ARRT) or with American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) within two (2) years of employment
+ AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon orientation completion
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ MRI experience preferred.
