This CT Imaging dept. is the first official site visit location in Texas for Siemens. We have all the latest technology in the CT machines that's out there. Our CT department offers growth opportunity to learn supervisor responsibilities, learning to perform audits, interview paneling and being part of our protocol team. MH Imaging systemwide has an Imaging leadership Academy which gives you an opportunity to explore leadership responsibilities firsthand and be mentored at the same time. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; and

The CT/XR Registered Technologist is a full-time Technologist and will be responsible for obtaining high quality radiographic images. This role requires competent operation of radiation producing equipment such as portable rad units, XR, to create diagnostic images. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are relaxed and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to establish inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Identifies opportunities for corrective action and process improvement providing recommendations and contributes to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety. Reports "near misses" and inputs errors promptly into appropriate hospital patient safety reporting system to improve processes and identify trends. Utilizes critical thinking skills to observe and proactively address patient reactions (i.e. contrast media and medications) or potential outcomes, as appropriate.
Ensures all imaging equipment has had quality control (QC) performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use. Reports any malfunctions to management and regularly practices preventative maintenance procedures; calls for service if needed.
Performs visual preventative maintenance checks of all assigned equipment at the beginning and end of each shift. Records and reports maintenance requirements to appropriate staff.
Helps maintain an effective Performance Improvement, Q/A & Q/C program in compliance with Joint Commission, Texas DSHS, IAC and/or ACR
Reviews exposed radiographs ensuring proper positioning, techniques and identification are obtained per protocol. Documents all exams/procedures in logbooks and enters charges in patient's EMR.

📝 Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Clinical Practice (Subject Matter Expertise)
Independent Execution: Independently perform and execute complex diagnostic Cardiovascular MRI exams, including advanced protocols for high-difficulty cases, myocardial viability, flow assessment, and complex congenital heart disease.
Image Quality & Optimization: Troubleshoot technical issues and critically assess image quality to ensure diagnostic integrity, adjusting imaging parameters and sequences for challenging patient physiologies and metal artifacts.
