We're currently working with a $280M consumer goods distributor that grew 10% last year and is looking to continue this trajectory. As they continue to expand, they are looking to add a member of the team that can help take the buying process to the next level.
Position Description:
Report to the Director of Supply Chain.
Plan and purchase finished goods from both domestic-and international suppliers to support demand and customer orders.
Manage the supply chain from placement of purchase orders to goods receipt, ensuring product is available to meet customer demand. This includes working with the global logistics team to track and trace imported product.
Drive inventory planning enhancements to minimize operational constraints.
Identify excess, obsolete and discontinued inventory issues.
Protect the financial performance of the strategic business unit by identifying potential supply chain issues.
Background Required:
Highly energetic individual with 4+ years of sourcing / purchasing / procurement / category management / planning experience - focused in direct / international procurement.
Working knowledge of planning applications (i.e. APO, JDA, Demantra, Logility, Lanham, etc.) and MS Excel.
Proven track record of success in similar role.
Bachelor's Degree is required.
Miscellaneous:
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 + bonus.

Job Description
The successful manager will ensure the optimal performance and utilization of system assets through the management of the System Planning area for the Company's Massachusetts service area while managing the assessment of system adequacy and reliability, defining the need, size, location, priority, timing and justification of major substation system projects, and incorporation of system capital investment proposals into the budget process.
The Manager of Distribution System Planning is responsible for developing long-term scenario-based plans for distribution system expansion, replacement and reinforcement while prioritizing and developing the capital budget. Also is accountable for maintaining the appropriate level of risk and maximizing system performance for a given level of investment.
Provides technical support on operations issues and develops responses to technical questions from regulatory agencies. The position is also responsible for policy advocacy, establishing goals, monitoring and reporting results, and continuous improvement. The role requires active leadership in ongoing regulatory proceedings - to drive changes necessary for successful implementation of the Company's long-term strategy. Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
Manages electric distribution system planning, including compliance with standards and regulations and environmental programs, policies, rules and regulations
Manages the development of System facilities plan to identify areas requiring additional facilities to permit growth and interconnections between distribution systems and other transmission companies
Coordinates activities across Company departments and with outside organizations including transmission companies
Provides focus to the changing needs of the distribution system based upon various scenarios and long- range outlook of load growth, EV penetration, PV growth among other evolving technologies
Establishes and monitors system network capabilities, utilization and performance measures
Collaborates with other departments/engineers on preliminary design of system projects
Implements best practices to achieve efficient and effective planning activities
Manages the department by establishing and monitoring area goals, performance objectives and budget
Presents, directs and/or prepares corporate testimony and written responses for rate cases and other local, state, or federal regulatory proceedings
Analyzes and recommends resource levels to plan, develop and implement programs and policies
Establishes operational and financial objectives and aligns with department goals
Oversees management and development of area staff providing technical guidance to less experienced personnel
Qualifications
BSEE, required, an advanced Degree, MSEE or MBA, preferred; Licensed Professional Engineer, PE is preferred
8-10+ years of electric utility industry experience, including significant Distribution System Planning, Engineering or Operations Management, and Regulatory experience required
Requires thorough knowledge and experience in electric distribution planning, system analysis computer applications and modeling, operations support, budgeting, and project analysis
Effective communicator who develops relationships, works cross-functionally and communicates persuasively
Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with federal, state, and/or local regulatory provisions applicable to distribution planning

Responsible for the management of multiple electrical utility distribution and substation construction projects and/or solar field construction projects. You'll work closely with the Customer to complete ground up projects of varying size and scope. Projects will vary from less than $1M to $25M.
Responsibilities:
Manages all facets of project construction
Manages project team by providing direction and leadership
Responsible for ensuring delivery of the day-to-day management services for the duration of the project
Coordinate and attend project planning meetings, pre-design and design meetings
Inspect the site; review and/or coordinate design reviews for the various disciplines, review for code compliance and adherence to the contract requirements
Recommend approval or rejection of submittals as appropriate; monitor progress with regard to schedule and delivery dates
Prepare, correspondence for the Contracting Officer's signature, maintain complete records of A/E contract documents, project related documents, plans and specifications, samples, keep track of all changes in construction specifications and drawings, maintain the latest approved construction documents and A/E's performance evaluation
Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets
Monitor expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget
Required:
Minimum of five (5) years experience in construction management (medium to high voltage transmission, substation construction and/or solar experience preferred)
4 year degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, experience with construction management software such as Primavera preferred
Must be able to communicate in a professional, business-like manner (using clear and precise language)
Work experience tracking and updating CPM schedules, RFIs, submittals, payment analysis, review of ongoing work at the site, attendance of meetings and project coordination with the costumer
OSHA safety training preferred
Previous experience in project management of large scale facilities and/or Federal and state contracts (medium to high voltage distribution projects and substation construction preferred)
