Identify and resolve process operating problems and machine faults, investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the production floor
Troubleshoot PLC-based machinery on the production floor and conduct appropriate follow-up on resolutions
Conduct root cause analysis of equipment-related issues
Contribute to the design, improvement, and implementation of automation throughout the manufacturing facility
Upgrade obsolete controls and programming on existing equipment
Identify and repair system issues, sensors, and equipment
Program and maintain HMI at each production center/cell
Contribute to the development of the organization's preventative maintenance and continuous improvement strategies and implement tools and methodologies and accelerate deliverables and improve output
Coordinate with engineering and production personnel to develop a shared vision for the completion of daily engineering tasks and then report on those activities
Ensure that all safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed
Handle additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Management Team
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Engineering is required
Minimum of 2+ years of controls engineering experience within a manufacturing environment is required
Must have the ability to troubleshoot and/or complete basic PLC programming (non-negotiable)
Must possess the ability to read blueprints
Must possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
Must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervision
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team
