What you would do in this job
As a Sworn Full-Time Metro Transit Police Officer,you willprotect employees and passengers, and safeguard property and equipment of Metro Transit across all municipalities of our eight county Metro-wide system. You will patrol assigned areas in a squad car, on foot, or onboard public transit and perform visual inspections and recognize, respond, investigate, and enforce violations of laws and ordinances.
What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications)
* An associate degree in Law Enforcement from an accredited College or University AND must currently be MN Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) licensed or eligible to be POST licensed as a full-time peace officer in the State of Minnesota by the time of conditional offer.

FT Officers are eligible for up to a $4,000 hiring bonus:

The Plant Operator is an experienced position performing operations, monitoring and maintaining Environmental Services wastewater treatment plants in the seven-county metro area to ensure the highest quality water and air standards possible for the region. Our nine wastewater treatment plants are located in: Cottage Grove, Eagan, Empire Township, Hastings, Rogers, Shakopee, St. Paul, Stillwater, and East Bethel. Operators could be assigned to any of the nine plants at hire and then bid for positions based on seniority.
Work Schedulefor Plant Operators: Treatment plants operate 24/7 year-round. Plant operators work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts. Operations and Equipment:
* Operate process control equipment (i.e., start/stop and control speed and flow rates on various types of pumps, compressors, generators, blowers, conveyor belts, incinerators, tanks, rotating equipment, instrumentation, land spreading and bio-solids) to ensure our compliance with permits requirements.

The Interceptor Operatorprovides routine operation, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair of the regional wastewater collection systems and/or pumping stations. The hard-working individuals we need for our team will becapable of managing their own time, working independently as well as in teams, have the desire and ability to work in all types of outdoor conditions, performing physical labor, as well as providing technical support. Required work duties include climbing down into wastewater structures and pipes, checking for obstructions, inspection and cleaning, working in confined spaces, and dealing with obnoxious odors.
Work Schedule: Typical work schedule includes 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Interceptor Operators will be expected to be on call some nights and weekends to respond to alarms and emergencies and to perform necessary routine weekend maintenance at designated facilities.

* Utilize technology to record conditions of wastewater system components as well as inspections of maintenance performed and to collect geographic data with GPS devices.
* Operate specialty equipment such as skid loaders, forklifts, all-terrain vehicles, jet/vac trucks (Vactors), sanitary sewer CCTV (closed circuit televising) and boom trucks.
* Respond to emergency on-call alarms and situations.
Maintenance:
* Perform light maintenance on the regional sanitary sewer collection system and pumping stations with specialty equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and instruments to ensure efficient operation and accurate instrument reading. Perform routine adjustments and minor repairs to motors, pumps, and valves. Clean bar screens, pumps and other process control equipment utilizing hand tools and power tools.
* Maintain tools, equipment and materials; inspect and troubleshoot operational and equipment problems.
* Maintain facilities by cleaning, sweeping, and hosing down equipment, piping, and valves. Perform general building maintenance and grounds-keeping tasks, lawn maintenance and snow removal.
Safety:

The role of the Contract Administrator is to assist in the administration and management of MCES's capital construction projects to ensure that they are executed promptly, according to plans and specifications, within industry quality standards, and budget requirements.

What you would do in this job
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Civil / Structural
* Inspecting, completing daily field observation reports, and evaluating work (primarily civil and structural)
OR
Mechanical
* Inspecting, completing daily field observation reports, and evaluating work (primarily mechanical such as process, steam, plumbing, sewer and refrigeration piping; equipment and pump installation; HVAC and process control systems; sheet metal installation.)
OR
Electrical
* Inspecting, completing daily field observation reports, and evaluating work (primarily electrical such as power, instrumentation and control, backup support systems including UPS and generators, checkout and startup of process systems).
All three of the above disciplines will be responsible for:
* Assisting in the administration of construction contracts.
* Preparing estimates, modifications, and associated documentation for change orders. Negotiating or assisting in the negotiation of change orders, contract conflicts, or claims. Reviewing and processing requests for payment.
* Maintaining files and documentation, coordinating routing and approval of drawings and material submissions. Ensuring contractor compliance with the MCES safety program.
* Other related duties, as assigned.
What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications)
Any of the following combinations of completed education in Construction Management or a related field, and experience in (heavy/commercial/industrial) construction management and/or field experience, with emphasis in the civil/structural, mechanical, or electrical discipline (must include experience with 480V to 13.8 KV).
* Bachelor's degree or higher with three years of experience.
* Associates degree with five years of experience.
* High School Diploma or GED with seven years of experience.
