Essential Duties: * Cleans offices, student activity areas and classrooms, and maintains cleanliness and services in designated lavatories. * Performs setups for special events and community affairs such as erecting staging, risers, bleachers and all other related equipment. * Assists and backs-up public safety in locking up and securing all doors, and maintains surveillance of campus. * Assembles and moves furniture as needed. * Cleans and maintains various floor surfaces including stripping, refinishing and buffing of hard floors and shampooing and extracting of carpets. * Operates heavy cleaning and scrubbing equipment. * Collects trash, disposable, and recyclable materials and delivers to refuse pick-up area. * Drives the various campus vehicles necessary to perform required assigned duties. * Removes and disposes of bio-hazardous waste, including site cleanup. * Assists security, grounds and maintenance as required. * Prioritizes and ensures completion of work orders. * Contributes to creating a positive work environment Additional Duties: * Removes snow from stairway and walkway and applies applications of ice melt. * Responsible for power washing of walkways etc. * Removes graffiti inside and outside of building. * Repairs equipment. * Performs all other related duties as assigned. This may include the issuance of citations for parking, traffic and policy regulations on campus. Report policy violations to supervisor for appropriate action and follow up. Report and if able eliminate safety hazards encountered through routine observation and inspection while on patrol duties. If unable to immediately rectify safety hazard, submit work order and notify supervisor of any accident prevention activities. Report infractions of certain safety regulations, unsafe conditions and potential illegal/criminal acts to supervisor and as necessary, the appropriate department or outside agency, including 911. Minimum Requirements Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: One year of experience with customer support, emergency response, safety education, or policy adherence. One year of experience in report writing and communications. Preferred Qualifications Education: Associate's degree Experience: Six months' experience in a campus safety setting.     Provides high quality instruction in computer science so that each student may meet learning outcomes. Works with the dean and colleagues to improve student learning experiences. Primarily teaches courses related to non-major introduction to computer science, C++ object oriented programming, C++ data structures, discrete structures, and computer architecture/assembly language, but may be assigned other instructional responsibilities as determined by the dean. Essential Duties * Teaches a range of community college computer science courses including, but not limited to, object oriented programming, data structures, discrete structures, C++, and computer architecture. * Creates a learning environment for students inclusive of diverse cultural, social, economic and educational backgrounds. * Collaborates with faculty and staff from other departments and divisions to promote communication, coordinate programs, and support student success. * Prepares clear learning outcomes for each course and inform students of learning outcomes in a course syllabus. * Participates in college service and activities outside direct instruction, such as registration, curriculum development, advising, strategic planning, and educational assessment. * Assists in outreach activities and support student recruitment, placement, and retention. * Helps advance the role and goals of a comprehensive community college. * Posts and keeps office hours to be available to students for assistance outside the classroom. * Teaches at least one evening section per year as needed. * Keeps professionally current by participating in professional development and other activities; maintains current credentials or licensures as required by program or accreditation. * Maintains active liaison with high schools, universities, business and industry or external agencies and assist the dean with program advisory committees as appropriate. * Completes instructional duties, reports, and paper work assigned by the dean in a timely manner. * Attends division, department, and committee meetings and in-service programs. * Incorporates, as pedagogically appropriate, current technology in classroom, distance learning, laboratory and office environments. * Maintains and emphasizes safe working conditions and practices. * Complies with all Board policies and administrative regulations. Additional Duties Performs all other duties as assigned Education: Master's degree in computer science or software engineering or 24 graduate credit hours in the subject area Desired Qualifications * Minimum (2) years of work experience in programming or software engineering * Prior experience teaching at the college level Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Ability to teach online courses and utilize necessary technology * Ability to manage and engage students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels in the classroom, laboratory, and field environment * Ability to manage student outcomes related to all classes taught * Ability to teach courses in accordance with college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and any departmental guidelines * Knowledge of appropriate teaching methods and documentation Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an indoor classroom or office environment. Salary Placement Initial salary placement for Instructional Load Credit (ILC) Instructors will be based on applicable education and/or years of relevant full-time equivalent experience at the sole discretion of the College, per the guidelines in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws. Initial salary placement for all other newly hired instructors will be at Level 1. The Aquatic Center is open from 5:30AM-9:00PM Job Summary Ensures patron safety, and performs patron surveillance; responds quickly and renders aid in an emergency. Completes reports and required record keeping. Performs minor facility maintenance and custodial tasks. Promotes and cultivates an environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion, and engages in evidence-based decision-making, while supporting the mission, goals, and values of the department and college. Essential Duties * Enforces pool regulations and educates patrons about pool rules and water safety. Prevents accidents in or around the water through constant and effective patron surveillance. * Recognizes emergencies and performs aquatic emergency rescues and first aid when necessary and in accordance with American Red Cross guidelines. * Provides excellent internal and external customer service and respectfully engages with all patrons and staff at the aquatic center. * Ensures pools, decks, changing areas, and staff areas of the aquatic center are kept clean and orderly. * Completes required forms and documentation of day-to-day functions and safety checks within the aquatic center. * Completes chemical checks of pool water. Assists with other basic maintenance tasks as needed. * Attends required in-service trainings. Additional Duties * Performs all other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Must be at least 16 years of age * American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Must be maintained throughout employment * Commitment to embracing and advancing access and diversity Preferred Qualifications * Experience working at an aquatic facility * Experience as an aquatic athlete Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with participants, parents, staff and supervisor(s) * Ability to react quickly and effectively in emergencies and activates the facility's Emergency Action Plan * Knowledge of and ability to understand water safety best practices at a commercial facility, including the role and duties of a professional lifeguard * Ability to maintain full and complete attention to patron surveillance while on duty * Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed Working Conditions Physical Requirements Must be able to swim 300 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes, and swim 20 yards to retrieve a 10-pound object off the bottom of the largest pools at any time; must have sufficient physical fitness and swimming ability to reach a patron within 30 seconds within the zone of coverage, which may be over 30 yards from guard station; must be able to deliver emergency equipment poolside (automated external defibrillator, bag-vale masks, backboard) within 30 seconds of emergency notification; must be able to move equipment reels on deck and move equipment into and out of the pools. Environment Works variable schedule and exhibits regular and predictable attendance. Work may be performed in an office and recreation facility. Work may be performed in an outdoor or indoor facility during variable weather conditions.
