Responsibilities:
Work Safely in the Manufacturing Production Environment.
Follow detailed verbal / written assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
Read and understand customer work orders and assembly instructions.
Prepare and assemble materials and parts in a manufacturing production environment.
Move, process, and organize materials and manufactured products.
Operate hand power tools, presses, mills, lathes, drills, lifts, control equipment efficiently and safely.
Perform quality control checks and verification of work order specifications.
Properly fill out basic forms, reports, and label products correctly.
Communicates and works effectively with others.
May provide hands on and verbal job function training to coworkers as needed.
Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor.
Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Work is scheduled Monday through Saturday. Shifts are 8 to 10 hours with mandatory overtime shifts. Overtime is paid on time worked over 40 hours a week. The facility does have multiple shifts, employees MUST be flexible and may be required to change shifts.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
Ability to use power tools, air tools and other vibratory tools.
Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
Ability to work around hot heavy machinery
Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (extreme hot/cold)

Primary Responsibilities:
Engage and support manufacturing technicians and supervisors to implement best practices for process and quality management.
Daily management of Quality Assurance inspectors and personnel.
Lead or participate with cross- functional teams in the use of DMAIC methodology improve processes.
Support activities related ISO Certifications, Recertification's, and Non-conformance reviews to ensure Chattanooga Plant's QMS conformance to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Participate in the internal audit and layered process audit function.
Develop expertise with codes and standards for the water utility industry, and serve as the plant representative for customer inspections and witnessed testing of valves.
Process customer complaints in the Mueller ERP system and follow up with corrective actions.
Prepare monthly reports for plant performance and customer satisfaction KPI's.

Develop and execute corrective action plans.

Drive standard utilization, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Corrective Action reporting, tracking, & closure.
Review and analyze product and material specifications to appropriate standards to ensure regulatory conformance of finished products.

Salary/Pay Range:
$67,000
The compensation range above reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting. Production Superintendent Job Description
Mueller Water Products is the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries and has an immediate opening for a Production Superintendent in our Chattanooga, TN facility. ROLE PURPOSE
Create safety awareness by actively observing, auditing, and coaching safe work behaviors and conditions. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Direct, lead, and execute the long and short term strategy to ensure sustainable results that meet or exceed financial and operational targets.
Guide the adoption of Quality at the Source by driving root cause countermeasures coordinating operations, quality, and engineering resources as merited.
Develop and administer processes for the successful schedule compliance in support of organizational service goals.
Promote the lean transformation through educational interactions with production supervisors and operators and participation in development of the transformation plan. Coach Write kaizen event charters and facilitate events when needed.
Monitor and develop, as applicable, performance metrics used to improve key process indicators supporting organizational break-through strategic deliverables.
Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on the design and selection of equipment and applicable procedures relative to product designs, specifications, materials and production processes.

Responsibilities
As a Transport Driver you will drive a tanker truck (11,400 gallon capacity) to pick up propane at the supply point (e.g. refinery, pipeline terminal, storage facility) and deliver it to area AmeriGas facilities. The driver will make four to five pick-ups and deliveries per day, driving an average of 500 miles per day and working up to 14 hours per day. Approximately 80 percent of the driver's time is spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to area AmeriGas facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck.
Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker
Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker. The hoses stored on the truck come in two sizes: 20 feet long, three inches in diameter; and 19 feet long, 1½ inches in diameter
Perform twice-daily truck inspections
May climb ladders at some AmeriGas facilities to check gauges at the top of the bulk tanks.
Requirements
3 Years' tractor and trailer experience with a minimum of 200,000 miles
1 year of tanker experience within the last 3 years, preferred
Hazmat and tanker endorsements
Eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
No accidents in the previous 3 years
No more than one moving violation within the previous 2 years

APPLICATION ENGINEER - AFTERMARKET
As the Application Engineer you will become an integral part of the Sales support team by researching historical sales and prepare quotations for replacement valves and parts to service existing valves. Day to day activities include tracking projects from internet-based software, downloading plans and specs, performing the "take-off" to determine product scope and requirements, interpreting plans and specs to determine bill of materials. You will work with manufacturers' representatives or directly with contractors or engineers for recommendations, modifications, or improvements to specifications. You will develop the desired bid price after analysis of plans and specs, availability, costs, and acceptability. Additional responsibilities include formulating an accurate proposal of the company's offering, sending proposals to appropriate parties involved and follow up after the bid for feedback. This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager - Application Engineering.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Prepare accurate and complete product quotations & proposals.
* Read product specifications. Check to ensure that proposals are accurate, complete, and definitive.
* Ensure that the proposals are provided to the proper parties on a timely and accurate basis to satisfy bid deadlines.
* Meet the intent of the customer's specifications by applying the Company's products to their best advantage, while at the same time protecting the Company's interest.
* Provide support needed to resolve customer complaints and issues including all paperwork and follow up until process is complete.
* Support and act as liaison between outside sales representatives/customers and various manufacturing locations. Work closely with Planners and Manufacturing Department Heads to provide current information on expedite requests and lead times.
* Engage in opportunistic and add-on sales activities, including developing custom designs of the aforementioned equipment to coincide with regional market needs.
* Carry out additional job responsibilities and duties as required.

Know how to perform basic troubleshooting on the inoculator
Understand what the inoculator alarms mean and how to clear them
Be able to calibrate the inoculator.
Watch the molds being poured through the shift and work with the operators to coach them on proper pouring.
Coach them to keep the sprue full but do not overflow and waste iron.
Coach them to move a dripping nozzle away from the sprue until the pour event is started.
Burn out the nozzle as required to keep the sprue full.
Assist in changing out broken stopper rods. Communicate about tap sizes when the tap size changes.

As a Materials Buyer, you will act as the liaison between the operation and the supply market performing critical functions managing the supply chain. You will work daily with supply chain, strategic sourcing, and manufacturing to support lean inventory and procurement strategies for purchased material. Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers.
Evaluates supplier quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
Maintain day to day communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, system data integrity, and ordering parameters for individual materials.
Ensure on-time deliveries, while maximizing turns, and minimizing carrying costs.
Understands and clearly demonstrates fluency in commercial components of supplier agreements.
Experience and knowledge managing both domestic and overseas suppliers. Clear understanding of long lead times while forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities. Work closely with planners and analysts in developing and reviewing stock replenishment strategy.

The compensation range above reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting. As an Engineering Technician, you will support operations by creating CNC programs for production machinery including the CNC machining centers utilizing 3, 4, & 5th axis. Primary Responsibilities:
Create machine programs for different machining centers including horizontal boring mills, vertical mills, vertical lathes, horizontal lathes, & mill-turn machining centers using G-code, CAM, etc. This involves importing models, setting up program definitions of stock, tooling, cut path parameters, etc.
Develop fixturing layouts & setups
Develop tooling sheets
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, material documents, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Work within the operational team supporting day-to-day problems and improvements.
Document processes to create work instructions to verify consistency of shop processes.
Work closely with other engineers to provide directional recommendations by evaluating production times, reviewing scheduling practices, and estimating future requirements.
Recommend and implement cost savings projects related to materials, processes, and time savings.
Maintain safety and quality as top priorities in all endeavors.
Coordinate with planning and production teams to ensure timely order production and production schedule maintenance.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to all relevant safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations and flagging any equipment or safety issues to the appropriate team lead, supervisor, maintenance, or EHS personnel utilizing “Stop, Call, Wait” procedure.
