Muller history

1995 Expanded business by purchasing larger production facility and moving headquarters to Troisdorf-Spich, Germany.

1996 Extensive lab operation was set up in Lohmar-Donrath with a MÜLLER-designed and manufactured co-extrusion blow molding machine.

1997 W.MÜLLER USA Inc. was founded in West Springfield, MA-USA.

1998 Company in Germany was re-named W.MÜLLER GmbH.

2000 Expansion of the engineering offices in Germany, doubles the space by adding a complete floor to the office building.

2002 Our product range increases by developing and manufacturing horizontal extruders.

2004 W. MÜLLER USA Inc. adds staff and services.

2006 Walter Müller takes over from Marco Fischer as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the operating companies of the Müller Group.

2008 Expansion of the in-house lab in Germany with the addition of a second double-station machine.

2009 A 5-axis rotational milling center is purchased which significantly decreases the manufacturing time of our parts with very complex geometry and allows W. MÜLLER to produce the highest quality parts possible.

2010 Senior partner and 3rd generation shareholder Hans Müller-Senn dies on the 23rd of March at the age of 83.Fördertechnik AG Münchenstein takes a 25% stake in ILS Intra Logistik Service AG in Muhen.

2011 Senior partner and shareholder of the 3rd generation Rudolf Müller dies at 86 years on the 13th of March.On November 17, the Müller Group wins a good second place at the renowned SVC Entrepreneur Award Northern Switzerland.The year is marked by a large Euro crisis and a strong Swiss Franc.

Through a joint venture with PepsiCo's Quaker Foods division, Müller entered the market in the United States in August 2012.

The company's plant in the United States opened in Batavia, New York, in June 2013, and was the distribution hub for the United States.

2014 Starting April 1st, the Müller AG Cleaning Solution is based in Münchenstein and under new management.The company Müller Container Systeme GmbH Appenweier (Germany) is founded.

However, the company announced in December 2015 that it would close the plant.

Müller GmbH wins the employer award «Job-Motor». It is awarded by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Freiburg, Schopfheim and Villingen-Schwenningen as well as the Freiburg Chamber of Trade and the Baden Association of Industrial Enterprises. It honours companies that have created new jobs in 2017 and have taken special measures to retain skilled workers in the long term.

The joint venture started on 1 April 2018.Müller GmbH wins the employer award «Job-Motor». It is awarded by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Freiburg, Schopfheim and Villingen-Schwenningen as well as the Freiburg Chamber of Trade and the Baden Association of Industrial Enterprises.
