An assessor examines students' submissions according to predetermined learning outcomes. As an assessor, you may have to decide on the students' total or whole competence by indicating if they have met the stipulated course requirements or calculating and scoring a final grade. It is a part of your duties as an assessor to collect the students' submissions by stipulated dates.
Also, you are expected to use your discretion when evaluating unclear and vague responses. You must recheck your marking to detect oversights and amend them. You are also expected to evaluate the students' grasp of relevant subject matter by making a comparison between their answers and the memorandum. In addition, you must report omissions and errors that you may detect in the memorandum. As an assessor, you are expected to return marked scripts to moderators in venues that have been agreed on.
To qualify for this role, you must hold at least a bachelor's degree in business or social work. You will earn an average salary of $58,254 in a year.
