Demonstrates ability to perform advance breast imaging procedures such as stereotactic and MRI biopsies and is competent/proficient with sterile procedures. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs. Responsibilities: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures. 2. Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and makes notes on all additional pertinent information. 3. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required exams on patients, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment. 4. Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed. 5. Ensures accuracy of each exam by following established procedures and labeling images correctly. 6. Provide Customer Service/Support to patient population. 7. Maintains all required records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies. 8. May be required to demonstrate competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment. 9. Maintains proficiency to perform breast imaging interventional procedures. 10. Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate timesequences. 11. Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations, from handling medications to maintaining patient records. MultiCare's Pharmacy Technician Training Program will provide the student with experience in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, as well as specialty areas within pharmacy. The program is broken up into two parts: didactic and experiential. The didactic portion is the educational part of the program that will be taught through computer modules. The experiential portion is the hands-on training the student will receive at various sites within MultiCare. The program is designed to prepare the student for state and national certification. General Description: This is an on-the-job training position working with pharmacy technicians under direct supervision of a pharmacist. This position will be conducted concurrently with a didactic pharmacy technician program and supervised experiential work. Upon completion of the didactic and experiential components, the candidate will be qualified to take the national pharmacy technician certification exam. Work situations require organization and attention to detail. External contact/interactions with MultiCare patients are frequent. Overall, the training can be up to 1000 hours depending on the progression of the training.
