Multimedia Specialist Careers

Multimedia specialists create computer animation, audio, video, and graphic image files for multimedia applications. They may also need to make computer-based interactive training, data presentation, entertainment, and educational products. One of their tasks is to plan, produce, and maintain websites and web applications using web programming, scripting, authoring, content management, and file transfer software.

They may not need a degree to enter this career, but employers will prefer applicants to have a bachelor's in computer science or graphic designing. They may also need to be proficient in 3-D design, illustration, multimedia technology, IT, business information systems, and the internet.
