We are looking for a highly analytical and passionate HR Reporting and Analytics Specialist to join our Global HR Reporting and Analytics team. This role will be located in the US. This role will be part of a global team of highly skilled HR reporting and analytics experts and will report into the Global Head of HR Reporting and Analytics (located in Munich, Germany). The role will work closely with the globally distributed Strategic HR Business Partner team, the HR functions (Talent, Rewards, DEI) and the regional HR team in North America.
This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with global and regional stakeholders to understand HR data requirements, deliver data insights and enable data-based decision making to support Munich Re's strategic HR and business agenda.
You will participate in global projects and initiatives, provide analytical answers to strategic questions and ensure the accurate and timely response to regular and ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
You will play an integral role in bringing our HR analytics capabilities to the next level, driving the continuous improvement of our reporting capabilities and enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
Responsibilities
HR reporting and analytics
Collaborate with stakeholders on various levels (including management, HR functions and Strategic HR Business Partners) to identify global and regional data requirements and translate them into meaningful data points, metrics and KPIs
Produce and communicate relevant HR data insights, including regular (management) reporting as well as ad hoc requests; building, testing, optimizing and running reports; designing, updating and enhancing HR dashboards; designing and analysing surveys from a technical perspective; striving for continuous improvement
Oversee the regional data collection and data quality assurance process for regulatory reporting purposes, including the HR (Sustainability) Reporting that collects data for Munich Re Group's annual report and US government reporting (including Affirmative Action, EEO-1, Vets-4212 Federal Contractor, Workers' Compensation reporting)
Advance the HR data capabilities to foster data-based decision making
HR data strategy
Drive the global alignment and standardization of HR reporting capabilities, including the transfer and amendment of regional reports and dashboards into global versions
Drive the automation of HR data collection and reporting processes
Partner in the development of the Global HR Reporting and Analytics team by using your expert knowledge, sharing best practices and being abreast on market trends and innovations
Lead and participate in global projects, including the global alignment of HR reporting deliverables
Performs user acceptance testing of new system applications.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:
7+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years in a HR data function
Strong understanding of HR data points and metrics and experience in transforming HR data into meaningful information
Experience in using HR IT systems (including SuccessFactors) as well as data structuring and visualisation tools (preferably SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI) to design and build HR reports and dashboards; experience with survey and analytics tools (including Qualtrics, Python, R) is a plus
Experience with aligning, collecting, structuring and migrating HR data on a global scale
Strong technical expertise and analytical mindset
Passionate about technical evolution and innovative concepts and solutions
Experience in working in a global (matrix) organisation within a dynamic environment
Can-do attitude, team-player and ability to quickly respond to changing requirements
Ability to work independently and to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton (NJ), Amelia (OH), and Hartford (CT). The salary range posted below reflects market variations across various locations. The offer will be adjusted per geography.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $88,400- $129,700 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations, with the with the higher end being more aligned with the Princeton job market. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.

This individual will support profitable growth across existing and new programs in support of Munich Re Group's multi-year strategy.
Responsibilities:
In this position you will:
Partner with the business unit as a trusted advisor to drive pricing excellence for Insurance Programs.
Prepare and complete pricing analyses, including the development of rates, ultimate loss projections and trend studies with some guidance. Communicate results of analyses to stakeholders.
Participate in development and update of actuarial models and databases through formula development, research on methodologies, and collaboration on technical teams.
Support result monitoring, pricing and portfolio management projects that will assist underwriters and management in understanding and steering business. Document and communicate assumptions, results, and alternatives to actuarial staff and internal and external clients.
Identification of data issues requiring specialized actuarial attention.

Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or related field.

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for supporting the data, reporting, and analytical needs across the entire Munich Re Specialty North America (MRSNA) Claims portfolio. The role will involve analyzing and synthesizing claims data from multiple sources, producing high quality insights that demonstrate a full narrative, and communicating to key stakeholders including executives and senior leadership across the MRSNA organization. They will be fully responsible for the development of dashboards, easily digestible data visualizations, and other reports to support a data driven claims operation.
Responsibilities
In this position you will:
Collaborate with various departments within MRSNA to independently respond to requests and provide business insights from claims data by producing accurate and meaningful dashboards / reports
Provide in-depth analysis and detailed insights to support planning, forecasting, severity management, capacity and workload management
Develop deep understanding of claims severity and frequency trends, drivers, and components while contributing to multiple complex analyses
Create new visualizations or reinvent existing Claims reports and dashboards by pulling data from different data warehouses at MRSNA (Duck Creek, ISyCL, IRDW, Snowflake, FSRI, Universal, Bridge)
Create process and governance documentation including data dictionaries to ensure operational continuity, assist with other data analysis activities (data cleaning, querying, visualization, etc.)
Support the quarterly Outlier review process for MR Group reporting and financial recommendations
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following experience/skills/qualifications:
BA/BS required, MS preferred in Data Science, Business Analysis, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and employment
8+ years of experience in P&C insurance industry with solid understanding of P&C Insurance data
8+ years as a technical data analyst, with experience in advanced SQL and proficient in querying data using MS SQL Server
Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools such Power BI, Advanced SQL, Excel, PowerPoint Skills (screening will be conducted to assess knowledge of SQL, Power BI and Excel)
Proven track record of collaboration and working effectively with a multi-functional team and throughout the organization; foster an environment of shared responsibility and accountability

Responsibilities
* Lead coordination of accounting for income taxes with the auditors on IFRS, GAAP, SII and Statutory reporting.

* Manage the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

* Collaborate with HTA in maintaining the Company's relationship with regulatory bodies, including stakeholders, CFO, MRAG Head of Global Tax, on any specific findings.

Qualifications
* Accounting degree with CPA, master's degree (MS tax or MBA preferred)
* 15+ years tax experience, including at least 15 years in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department within the Insurance industry
* Proven work experience as a head of tax service department or as head of tax with the experience of managing multinational companies
* Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax planning, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
* Experience with US federal and state corporate tax and Sales tax compliance
* Strong analytical thinking and writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The Underwriting Manager is responsible for management of the US based underwriting team who, in conjunction with the rest of the Managed Underwriting team located in the UK, are responsible for the management and oversight of the delegated portfolio. We are looking for a head of Reserving Transformation, Operations and Processes Team in FMR Corporate Reserving. Act as liaison with Global Reserving Teams, CFO, IRM, Audit, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Planning & Expense Team and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Coordinate financial close activities, including cession QA, booking handoffs, and retro modeling, in partnership with Finance and Accounting.
Support Annual Statement Reporting and Schedule P Process in close collaboration with other responsible FMR teams.
Quarterly Financial Reporting of Underwriting Results under Statutory Reporting standards, focusing on a technical sound analysis of underlying business drivers for the CFO.
Planning and oversight of the Reserve Review Process, ensuring excellent quality and compliance to actuarial standards of practice, as well as group reserving policy.
Maintain current knowledge of trends in actuarial methods, reserving systems, and technology; recommend solutions that balance cost and risk, while facilitating know-how transfer across the various operational Reserving teams.
Lead transformation projects and system integrations to drive process simplification and automation initiatives. Champion continuous improvement and efficiency gains, partnering with global reserving and finance teams.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science or a similar qualification with a strong quantitative focus; Masters or MBA preferred
Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Several years of managerial or supervisory experience in an actuarial role (e.g. Reserving, Pricing, Risk Management, Underwriting, Controlling, Data Analytics) in the Property/Casualty Insurance Industry
Strong knowledge of (re)insurance, as well as accounting, finance and financial reporting
Extensive knowledge of actuarial methodologies, processes, systems and data structures, with applicability towards (re)insurance operations.
In depth working knowledge of BI software, statistical programming languages, design of data structures and database tools (such as TM1, SQL, SSAS or similar)
Strong project management, process optimization and change management skills and experience.
FCAS (or comparable actuarial society) credentials preferred
Excellent analytical skills together with a solution-oriented mindset
Solid knowledge of non-life reserving, and strong background on financial reporting, with experience in the valuation according to IFRS 17 and/or Solvency II
Ability to present complex issues to non-actuaries and to be comfortable and credible in terms of meeting with senior management and the Board
Strong project management, process optimization and change management skills and experience.
The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including New York City, NY and Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below reflects market variations across various locations. The offer will be adjusted per geography.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $200,400 - $295,600, plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations, with the with the higher end being more aligned with the New York City job market. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
