Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, provides contract administration of public facilities under the Venues Division to include the Dena'ina and Egan Civic & Convention Centers, Ben Boeke & Dempsey Anderson Ice Arenas, George M. Sullivan Arena, Anchorage Museum, Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, and the Anchorage Golf Course.
Duties include review, approval, and monitoring of budgets and fiscal activities as defined under each contract. Prepares and provides management agreement payments. Tracks contract compliance. Provides facility operators guidance on contract requirements. Coordinates asset management and reporting. Maintains each facility MOA capital reserve fund and associated projects. This includes appropriating, and creating each project and budget in the MOA SAP financial system.
Coordinates facility capital projects and deferred maintenance programs with each operator, and applicable municipal departments. Drafts and submits Assembly Documents for approval. Prepares and submits internal budget transfers and journal entries. Manages and processes accounts payables, receivables, collections & deposits. Prepares and coordinates all purchase requests when utilizing municipal funding.
Serves as staff to the CIVICVentures Board of Directors that oversees the Convention Centers, and monitors the room tax convention center capital reserve fund. Assists the Chief Administrative officer with negotiating facility management agreements and amendments.
Assists with the administration of the contract for tourism promotion and issues payments required.
Prepares and administers miscellaneous grants as required.

Responds to inquiries and assists customers with various information and help. Operate the fare collection equipment, mobile display computers, and head signs. Additional Information:

TESTING INFORMATION AND NOTIFICATION
Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications, have acceptable employment records, and meet Municipal standards related to driving guidelines and criminal conviction history may be invited to participate in the Police Officer Testing process.

Applicants must meet the minimum passing score of 70% to be advanced to the Job Task Simulation Test (JTST). The written test results are valid for two (2) years. Unsuccessful applicants are not eligible to re-apply for six (6) months from the date of testing.
Job Task Simulation Test (JTST)
The Job Task Simulation Test (JTST) is physically demanding, and a certain fitness level is required to pass and prevent injury.
When given the signal from a test administrator, the applicant will exit the driver's seat of a patrol vehicle and run a total distance of approximately 400 yards. During the run, the applicant will encounter and navigate numerous obstacles, including zigzagging through a series of cones, ducking under obstacles, scaling a fence, long-jumping a specified distance, going up and down stairs, a push/pull simulation, and a victim rescue drag. Applicants will perform the test while wearing a weighted belt and vest, equivalent to the weight a Patrol Officer carries while performing job-related tasks.
Applicants must complete the JTST in 3 minutes and 36 seconds.

Each applicant will be given two attempts to pass the test on the same testing day. If unsuccessful, the applicant may try again at the next available testing date.
CONDITIONAL OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT - BACKGROUND PHASE
Applicants who successfully complete the Job Task Simulation Test (JTST) will be given a "Conditional Offer of Employment". The six (6) Steps and conditions of employment are listed below.
Step 1: Preliminary Interview
The preliminary interview is a structured interview focused on behavior relevant to the essential job elements required for the position of Police Officer. The applicant's interview skills, employment history, driving history, illegal substance abuse history and other relevant information will be assessed to determine if the applicant meets Anchorage Police Department standards.
Step 2: Background Investigations
The Background Investigation is a critical examination of an applicant's past work and personal history. The Background Investigation phase takes the majority of time in the application process.
Applicants who are not successful during the Background Investigation phase are eligible to re-apply two (2) years from the date of the conditional offer unless otherwise indicated.
If during any portion of the process/background investigation it is discovered the applicant committed an act or acts which would constitute felonious conduct under Statutes, except the specific exclusions regarding simple possession and/or use of a controlled substance, the applicant will not be eligible to re-apply or be considered for any position with the Anchorage Police Department.

CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS

SUBSTANCE ABUSE
Illegally manufactured, transported or possessed with intent to sell or distribute, or who has sold a controlled substance and/or an imitation controlled substance, unless under 21 years of age and the act occurred more than 10 years before the date of hire.
Illegally used any controlled substance, other than marijuana, including scheduled prescription medications not prescribed to you within five (5) years of the date of hire (unless under the age of 21 at the time). Exception: immediate, pressing or emergency medical circumstance existed to justify the use of a prescription controlled substance not specifically prescribed to the applicant.
Used marijuana to any degree within one (1) year of the date of application, regardless of marijuana's legal status at the time.
To any degree, used an illegal controlled substance while employed as a certified Municipal, State, or Federal peace officer, or correctional officer.
Step 3: Psychological Assessment
The Psychological Assessment is a two-part process, and is used to determine suitability for the position. The first part is a written exam, and the second part is an interview with a State of Alaska licensed Psychologist. The written exam can take approximately 4 - 6 hours to complete.
Applicants must successfully complete the Psychological Assessment in order to continue in the selection process. Unsuccessful applicants may re-apply after two (2) years.
Step 4: Polygraph Examination
Successful applicants will be required to submit to a Polygraph Examination.

Step 5: Command Review and Chief's Selection
After passing all previous steps and phases, applicant files will be forwarded to a command review, where a panel of no less than three command level officers will review applicant files before they are forwarded to the Chief for final selection. Step 6: Final Conditional Offer of Employment
The Municipal Employment Office will contact the selected applicants to make a final conditional offer of employment. The final conditional offer of employment is based upon successful completion of the remaining conditions of employment:

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is based out of the Kotzebue Probation Office in Kotzebue, AK, located at 240 Fifth Avenue. In addition to Kotzebue, we supervise probationers in Buckland, Ambler, Selawik, Deering, Kiana, Kobuk, Kivalina, Point Hope, Shungnak, Noorvik, and Noatak. While most of the work is in our office, supervising our probationers requires travel to other communities, working a variety of hours, and sharing 'on-call' responsibility with other staff. This position provides transitional oversight to youth returning to their home communities. Some escort travel and flexible scheduling is required.
This is a flexibly staffed position at the JPO 1 or 2 level, a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This position requires the ability to assume on-call duties on a rotating basis, afterhours on evenings and on weekends. Supervision of probationers also requires travel to outlying communities.

The Position
The Judicial Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely flow of paperwork and case files between the judges' chambers and the clerk's office. This position involves typing and revising correspondence, court orders, and legal documents as directed by the judge, as well as drafting simple orders for judicial signature on routine or administrative matters. The assistant manages files with pending motions, evaluates urgency and readiness for review, and maintains oversight of matters under advisement and the judge's active caseload.
Additional duties include filing and distributing signed orders and court notices, maintaining and updating motion and case records in CourtView, and coding and routing documents appropriately in OnBase. The Judicial Assistant is also responsible for scheduling and coordinating hearings, managing the judge's calendar in both CourtView and Microsoft Outlook, and evaluating hearing requests to ensure efficient scheduling and time management.
The role requires professional interaction with the public in the courtroom, as well as screening incoming calls and visitors to chambers with discretion and tact, determining the appropriate amount of information to disclose, and following up when necessary. The assistant prepares and submits pay affidavits for the judge, initiates and processes travel authorizations and reimbursements, and assists with other administrative tasks or special projects as assigned. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating meetings, drafting internal communications, and performing other duties necessary to support the efficient operation of the court.
PLEASE NOTE:
This position is assigned to the court's partially-exempt service; incumbents serve "at-will" to the hiring authority. Upon the retirement or resignation of the Superior Court Judge, this position will end unless the incumbent is interviewed and selected by a new judge.
The Work Hours

Under general direction and limited supervision, works directly with water and wastewater customers, operators, and contractors in the field. Responds to emergency reports of AWWU service lines, mains, hydrants and valve failures, and provide immediate road closure as safely as possible until barricade contractor arrives. Documents a variety of complex water and wastewater projects, and physical facilities. Perform physical locates of underground utility lines, commence turn on/off of services, valves and mains. Operate distribution and collection systems as directed. Communicate professionally and effectively with contractors, plumbers, other MOA agencies, and customers on various scheduled and emergencies, inspection/compliance issues, work orders, and field charges. Complete permits, troubleshoot and assess both scheduled and non-scheduled response required for water and wastewater. Repair and replace water meters, inspect plumbing for appropriate size and installation to be consistent with good public health practices, and as required by the State, MOA, and Utility plumbing. Must have good computer skills for use of different software programs for daily reports and documentation used by the Utility and MOA Risk Management. Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in major emergencies or disasters as outlined in AWWU's disaster plan matrix, which defines each employee's potential duties and responsibilities. What you will be doing:
As one of the Utilities Leads within the Central Region Traffic Safety & Utilities (TS&U) Section you will oversee all utility-related activities necessary for utility permitting and the development of small to medium sized capital improvement projects that are proposed within the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities' managed rights-of-way.
