Surgical technologists play a critical role on surgical teams at all Munson Healthcare hospitals. This position requires excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, accuracy, and strong interpersonal skills. As a member of the OR team, you'll work with many specialty surgeons, their physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses, all striving to provide excellent patient care in a dynamic environment. The Child Mind Institute is looking for accomplished and motivated individuals to join our team as interns for our Summer Program for children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, and related learning, social, and behavioral challenges.
The program is offered as a four-week immersive summer therapy camp session each year. Interns for this program are trained to use empirically supported behavior management techniques to work with children with disruptive behavior concerns, encouraging them to participate in positive and pro-social behavior as they interact with other children and adults.
Reporting to the Director, Summer Program, this is an unpaid, temporary, full-time, internship located on-site at Allen Stevenson School and our NYC headquarters office.
This is a highly competitive unpaid internship. Therefore, we strongly encourage applicants to independently investigate stipend programs through their college placement offices and to pursue college study credits for this experience. We can provide any requested documentation to assist students in getting stipends and college credit.
You Will:
Learn and use positive behavior management strategies.
Help implement individualized behavior plans, learning how to tailor strategies to each client's needs.

Help complete daily progress reports (report cards) to update parents on client development.

We're looking for a Business Adminsitration superstar to support the work of our Marketing Customer Experience teams. This role reports directly to the Director of Customer Experience and supports the Marketing Coordinator. The Child Mind Institute is proud to offer a one-year pre-doctoral internship designed to prepare candidates for a successful career in child and adolescent clinical psychology. The internship will begin as early as July 1, 2026. Consideration will also be given to candidates who will not be able to begin the internship until as late as September 1, 2026. This is an exempt position, located in our New York City headquarters, which offers a generous salary and full benefits, as well as support for learning several evidence-based treatment programs and attending a professional conference.
Our pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology offers an extraordinary opportunity for a qualified student to receive structured training in a unique, innovative multidisciplinary setting. Internship training focuses on accurate interviewing and clinical assessment for a wide variety of primary and comorbid presenting mental health concerns-including anxiety disorders, trauma, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, behavior or conduct disorders, among others-as well as various evidence-based treatments for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and other evidence-based treatments will be provided. You Will:
Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based treatment to children and adolescents
Conduct family-based interventions with parents and other family members and maintain collateral contacts with educators and other providers
Collaborate with our clinicians and board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy
Conduct workshops, presentations, and webinars on children's mental health topics for community outreach

You Have:
Candidacy for a PhD or PsyD degree from a graduate program in clinical, counseling, school-clinical, or school psychology;
Applicants are expected to complete their doctoral degree by the end of the pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology;
Successful completion of at least two psychology externships or practicum placements in clinical psychology;
Previous training and experience in using CBT interventions;
Eligibility for a limited permit to practice psychology in New York State
Preference is given to candidates with prior training and experience in manualized interventions.
Flexibility to work hours to meet productivity goals and deadlines, including afternoon / evening hours to accommodate school student schedules;

Essential Job Functions
Compose documentation reflective of client progress towards goals while in program.
Assist in prescreening and routing incoming phone calls to specific team member, discipline, or staff.

We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative intern to support our Program Management team. This in-person position in New York City will involve assisting with communications, working with schools and families, and supporting the overall functioning of our team. The primary focus of the Music Therapy Intern is to provide music therapy services to hospice patients and their families, under the supervision of a Board-Certified, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care. The Music Therapy Intern assesses patients/families, devises and implements an individualized treatment plan. Music Therapy Interns also support special programming, education, and marketing efforts to promote the agency's mission.
AMTA National Roster Internship, Start Dates: January or July

INTERN EXPECTATIONS
Visits hospice patients and families in homes, nursing homes, hospitals and Hospice House settings
Works with patients of all ages and with a range of diagnoses (including dementia, COPD, cancer, heart disease, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke/TBI, among others)
Documents all clinical patient visits, phone calls, etc. in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Works well both independently and within an interdisciplinary group (IDG)
Has a soothing singing voice, functional guitar and piano skills, and knowledge of other recreational instruments
Plays a variety of songs and genres for different cultures and age groups
Uses appropriate treatment techniques based on developmental stages and clinical need
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
Handles time well and has good organizational skills
Effectively manages an average case load as determined appropriate by the Internship Supervisor
Has reliable transportation, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Can carry up to twenty-five pounds of equipment and/or materials.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Has completed all prerequisite clinical education and training requirements for the AMTA National Roster Internship or University Internship position, from an AMTA accredited university or its equivalent, as required by the AMTA

- Interview and Music Audition
Once the materials listed above are received, an interview and music audition can be scheduled. If you would like to arrange an in-person visit (recommended), you can do both then. If you are unable to visit, we can schedule a Zoom interview. To prepare for your interview/audition, please prepare six songs (one from each of the categories below). Three of the songs should be accompanied by the guitar and three songs should be accompanied by piano.

Participates in both academic and clniical activities relative to computed tomography.

Performs CT exams and CT-guided/assisted procedures. Positions patients to best visualize anatomic area of interest. Transports patient to/from department/rooms. Provides and respects ability, comfort, physical, psychological, and educational needs of patients.
Under authority of physician, administers intravenous media and/or medications. Inserts urethral catheters. Monitors patient. Observes patient for reactions and responds appropriately.
Promptly and accurately charges for procedures and supplies. Makes necessary entries to department and/or medical center information systems. Documents patient training/education in computer systems.
Marks and processes images for delivery to PACS system.
Operates computerized equipment necessary to perform duties.
Requisitions and maintains adequate inventory of necessary drugs and supplies.
