Position Summary
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This is an 8-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director and reports to the Director and /or Assistant Director. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs all nuclear medicine procedures through the proper administration of radiopharmaceuticals. He or she upholds the mission and vision of Murray Calloway County Hospital and follows all hospital policies and departmental procedures.

Minimum Education
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Technology program that is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CMHEP) is required.

Under the supervision of the MCCH Laboratory technical staff, performs specimen collection and processing, clerical tasks, point of care testing, and other laboratory support staff duties as assigned. The Lab Assistant also maintains cooperative working relationships with intradepartmental and interdepartmental personnel.
