At Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, students have the opportunity to build their own major through Murray State's unique Integrated Studies program. One of its more outstanding features, the Integrated Studies program is designed for students who have previously attended college or have substantial life experience. Through Integrated Studies students fuse two or more areas of study or modify a traditional major in order to fulfill their educational goals. Murray State University also offers over 100 traditional Bachelor's degree programs. These are granted through several colleges, which include the College of Business, College of Humanities and Fine Arts, College of Science, Engineering and Technology and a school of Nursing. A continuing education division at Murray State was designed for students who are not able to attend classes on campus and, therefore, must study through distance learning or at a nearby Murray State learning center. Murray State's many thousands of students may also benefit from the hands-on approach to learning. For example, students have the opportunity to do internships in their field of study. Student services at Murray State include career services, tutoring in math, writing and other subjects, financial aid for eligible students, and on-campus housing.
