Assist the Head Coach with managing and supervising the day to day operations of the athletic team, including teaching, coaching, fund-raising activities; provide leadership and support for the vision and strategies of the Head Coach.
Responsibilities & Duties
Recruitment
* Negotiate scholarship offers to prospects under the direction of the head coach.
* Coordinate and oversee the recruitment of student-athletes.
* Prepare and distribute recruiting information.
* Attend off-campus games for the purpose of evaluation and contact when appropriate.
* Make phone contact with prospective student-athletes when appropriate.
* Plan campus visits with prospective student-athletes and their parents.
* May serve as a recruiting coordinator as directed by the Head Coach.
Coaching
* Scout future opponents by film, watching games and/or telephone reports.
* Provide consultation and expert advice to head coach and team members.
* Prepare, plan, conduct, and evaluate practice sessions as directed.
* Teach individuals and groups of players specific tasks and skills before, during and after practice, during season and off-season.
* Serve as a mentor to athletes, helping resolve academic and non-academic issues.
* Be available to coaches and players before, during and after practices, games, and events.
* Be knowledgeable of the rules and fundamentals of the respective sport.
* Coach specific units as directed by the Head Coach.
* May serve in a coordinator role.
Teaching
* Teach advanced level skills and game strategies.
Team Administration
* Plan long and short-term objective under the leadership of the head coach.
* Assist in the establishment of requirements for team members in terms of academic and athletic progress.
* May serve as the academic liaison for the team.
* Assist in the discipline of student-athletes.
* Coordinate recruiting efforts with the Athletic Academic Services Staff.
* Coordinate scholarships with the Athletic Compliance Staff.
* Assist in the management of the budget if applicable.
* Assist in the coordination and management of team travel if applicable.
* Assist in the completion of all necessary compliance documentation under the direction of the compliance office.
Campus/Community Communication
* Serve as guest speaker at public events on behalf of MSU Athletics.
* Recommend policies and procedures for the student-athlete handbook.
* Serve in a leadership role and promote participation in community service activities by student-athletes.
* Assist in the formulation of team and department fund-raising activities and promotional events.
* Coordinate community service and MSU athletics-to-school programs under the direction of the Marketing and Promotions Office.
* Administer day-to-day operations and staff of summer athletic camps and other "reach out" programs for school aged children, as directed by the head coach.
Other Duties
* Be knowledgeable of NCAA and MVC rules.
* Assist in planning a competitive schedule if applicable.
* Other duties as assigned.
* As a member of the Murray State University Athletic Department, you shall comply with all applicable NCAA rules and regulations as provided in the NCAA Division I Manual. If you are found in violation of NCAA regulations, you shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.

Postdoctoral Research Associate

The laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang in the Division of Immunotherapy, Department of Surgery, and Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position.
Research in the Zhang Laboratory focuses on exploring the function of double-negative T (DN T) cells in antitumor immunity and cancer immunotherapy. DN T cells play a pivotal role in initiating antitumor immune responses and shaping the tumor microenvironment. Understanding the underlying mechanisms will enable the development of a novel paradigm for cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will play an integral role in advancing cutting-edge research funded by an NIH/NCI R01 grant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and execute experiments related to DN T cells, tumor immunology, and cancer therapies, followed by data analysis.
Draft manuscripts for publication and prepare presentations for scientific meetings.
Assist in training and mentoring lab members, including graduate and undergraduate students, research interns, and technicians.
Collaborate with other lab members to integrate data across multiple platforms.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date experimental records.
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, such as Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
Extensive hands-on experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology techniques.
Proficiency in using animal models, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and in vitro bioassays.
Strong skills in experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate research findings effectively in written and oral formats.

Extensive knowledge and expertise in bulk/single-cell RNA sequencing and bioinformatics.

Seeking an EKU Summer Institutional Work Study Camp Assistant Director for the Summer 2025 CSTEM Camp, June 18-27, 2025.
The 5-day residential camp, June 22-27, 2025, provides rising high school junior and senior campers with a preview of life as a college student. They participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) activities, meet with a variety of University representatives, and take part in fun team-building projects.
The STEM Camp Assistant Director is responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of our residential STEM summer camp for rising high school juniors and seniors. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, and fostering an engaging and enriching environment that inspires curiosity and learning in STEM fields. The Camp Assistant Director will be expected to be available during the STEM camp activities from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and for the evening events at the dorm from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Must be available to live on campus with campers during the camp week of June 22-27th.
Must be eligible for Summer Session Institutional Work Study and be a current EKU student. Must be 18 years of age or older and complete a background check for working with minors. Position pays a $1,150.00 stipend.

Murray State University is seeking a full-time Veterinary Pathologist/Assistant Professor for its Hopkinsville, KY location.
The Veterinary Pathologist/Assistant Professor's primary responsibilities include the following:
* This position is 85% diagnostic pathology, 10% teaching, and 5% scholarly activity.
* Conduct necropsy and histopathologic examinations on mammalian, avian and exotic carcasses. Then choose appropriate ancillary tests and report findings to the submitting client within a timely manner.
* Histopathologic examination of formalin fixed samples submitted by referring veterinarians.
* Conduct cytodiagnostics by examining, interpreting, and reporting finds on submitted cytologies (aspirates and impression smears), occasional blood smears, and urine sediments.
* Conduct rabies testing which includes setting up and interpreting FA tests for potential rabies cases.
* Provide consultation and continuing education for veterinarians and livestock farmers.
* Support the curriculum of the Veterinary Technology Program as an Assistant Professor.
* Attend annual meetings such as the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians or American College of Veterinary Pathologist.
* Adherence to the Quality Management System and utilization of LIMS.
* Expected to work as a member of a team and leverage the experience of other pathologists for challenging cases.
* Good communication skills including both written and oral are necessary to provide clear explanations of results to clients.

Minimum Education Requirements
* Candidates must have Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited College of Veterinary Medicine.
* A minimum of a Masters in Anatomical Pathology/Pathobiology or completion of a residency program from an AVMA/AAVLD/ACLAM accredited program is required.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications
* Three years of experience in diagnostic work beyond the degree or residency program is preferred.
* Experience with livestock and poultry in addition to small animals is also preferred.
Physical Demands Work Hours
* Up to 5% local travel to present and attend professional meetings.
* This position is included in an after-hours rotation to accommodate livestock producers and may require responding on weekends and holidays.
