Part-time Description
The Gallery Attendant I (GA I) position creates a warm, welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable experience in the museum's galleries by engaging visitors in viewing and discussing works of art while also focusing on protecting the artworks. Scheduled at either of MOCA's downtown locations-MOCA Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles and The Geffen Contemporary in Little Tokyo-GA I staff the museum, queuing, and entry points during public hours, special events, and public programs; in addition, they handle ticketing admissions as well as membership sales and service. GA I help ensure visitor and staff compliance with the museum's code of conduct. On an as-needed basis, they may be assigned MOCA staff office reception desk coverage which requires ability to execute emergency fire panel procedures.
Essential Functions
Greet, orient, and engage visitors in experiencing art, while protecting artworks on view. All GAs will adhere to museum rules and policies including those set forth in the Visitor Code of Conduct.
Run check-in and staffing for special events and public programs, including organizing and communicating with people in line.
Maintain posts in the museum lobby and galleries during public hours and special events.
Assist MOCA Security in handling fire/life safety protocols, including medical incidents or emergency situations.
Participate in daily briefings and additional scheduled trainings, including curatorial walkthroughs of new exhibitions. When physical attendance is not possible, watch videos of trainings and walkthroughs.
Assist Leads in setting up and striking wayfinding devices, ticketing signage, and visitor engagement collateral.
Use Altru and XTruLink ticketing and scanning systems to capture accurate visitor information and process transactions in both free and paid admission contexts.
Be knowledgeable about MOCA membership benefits and how to join; suggest memberships to visitors.
Stay up-to-date on museum information by reviewing written all-staff communications and attending all staff meetings.
Stay up-to-date on policies and procedures as outlined in training sessions, staff meetings, as well as written handbooks and the VE Google Site.
Assist patrons with accessibility aids; use the two questions outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act, to ensure proper access for prospective ticket-purchasers with service animals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Upon satisfactory completion of a 90-day probationary period, essential functions will also include:
Complete training to provide logistical support during Contemporary Art Start hours.
Run pre-tour check-in and manage the restroom line.
Observe tours when appropriate offering extra art protection in the gallery
Participate in daily debriefing after student tours end.
Requirements Requirements
Friendly and outgoing disposition; strong communication skills to interact with diverse visitors; understanding of how body language can convey a welcoming yet professional presence.
Experience dealing with the public in a customer service or hospitality capacity. Hospitality-oriented individuals with strong people skills are preferred.
Familiarity with museums; strong interest in contemporary art.
Ability to handle fast-paced events, as well as to remain focused and attentive during quieter times.
Exercise and demonstrate good judgment consistently.
In partnership with security personnel, willingness to act as a “first responder” in emergency situations such as earthquakes, power outages, or incidents requiring medical attention.
Three days per week minimum availability. Flexible schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, at any MOCA location as assigned. Must have weekend availability which is defined as Saturday and/or Sunday.
Pay Rate: 18.97 per hour

About the General Counsel's Office
The General Counsel's Office is responsible for providing timely, coordinated, and thoughtful legal advice that is grounded in applicable laws and tailored to the foundation's programmatic needs, enhancing its ability to achieve its charitable goals. Legal staff counsel internal clients on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance, and risk‑management matters. The office currently comprises seven individuals: the General Counsel; two associate general counsels; two counsels; a legal and compliance officer; and an executive assistant. About the Position
This full‑time employee reports to an Associate General Counsel and will provide legal advice and support to the Foundation focusing on corporate and technology‑related matters, including data privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), contracts, and general corporate governance. This will include reviewing and negotiating technology contracts; serving as the primary legal partner for the Information Technology (IT) and Facilities Operations departments; supporting technology projects to improve the processing of grants and contracts; providing thought leadership within the Foundation and within the nonprofit sector on legal issues related to technology, particularly, AI; and leading/advising on projects to keep the Foundation's policies and procedures up to date with the law and best practices.
This lawyer should have corporate transactional experience at law firm(s), and specific experience advising on data privacy, intellectual property, cyber security and/or AI. Experience with the nonprofit sector is preferred, and experience working in‑house is desirable but not required. Strong interpersonal, communications, and client service skills are extremely important, as are abilities to prioritize and balance projects with differing issue areas and stakeholders. Title and compensation are dependent on years of applicable experience.
Responsibilities
Support for IT and Facilities Operations
A core responsibility of this position is to act as primary counsel to the foundation's IT and Facilities Operations teams, providing day‑to‑day legal counsel on technology procurement, cloud and software agreements, licensing, and internal policies and procedures. It is anticipated that this set of responsibilities will take approximately 45 percent of the lawyer's time. Specific duties include:
Advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI and incident response readiness.
Partnering with IT and Facilities Operations to strengthen risk management frameworks.
Guiding the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools internally and externally, including evaluating vendors, establishing AI governance frameworks, and developing related policies to create efficiency and optimization.
Managing intellectual property issues, including copyright, trademark, and open‑source compliance.
Contributing to documentation, user guides, and system design testing to embed legal considerations into platform development.
Helping draft, review, and update policies on data governance and retention, and acceptable use of technology.
Advising, reviewing and negotiating on facilities and technology‑related contracts.
Engaging with and managing outside counsel.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
The other core responsibility of this position is to act as counsel collaborating with other members of the legal team on technology contracts, software utility and enhancements, grants processing, and related compliance matters. It is anticipated that these responsibilities will take approximately 40 percent of the lawyer's time. Specific duties include:
HR: Support compliance in HR systems (ADP, Everfi, online training platforms).
Finance: Advise on financial systems (Concur, Stampli) and contracts.
Grants Management: Partner on Salesforce/Grants Management System, DocuSign, and data integrity.
Contracts: Support workflow design and compliance documentation.
Programs: Advise on grants pertaining to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
Other Departmental Responsibilities and Support for Administrative Teams
This employee will assist the General Counsel and other members of the legal team on a variety of Foundation projects, such as improving compliance systems or developing training materials. It is anticipated that these responsibilities will take approximately 15 percent of the lawyer's time. These duties may include:
Keeping abreast of changes in technology law and regulations to ensure the Foundation remains compliant and knowledgeable about changes in the legal landscape and can anticipate future opportunities and challenges.

Requirements
J.D. with a minimum of three years of relevant legal experience. The ideal candidate should have law firm experience doing a range of technology transactional work. Nonprofit/exempt organization experience is preferred, and in‑house experience is desirable but not required.
Candidate must be a team player, flexible, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Experience adapting complex legal advice to create practical processes and guidance materials for clients, including in‑house users.

Position Summary
The Membership and Wellness Associate creates a welcoming and engaging experience for YMCA members, from their first contact through continued participation. Job Responsibilities

We are currently providing incarnational ministry at many military installations around the world. You will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, which is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented.
Responsibilities
Actively develop healthy relationships with adults, as well as kids, and build vibrant relationships with the local community, the military installation, and the chapel community.
Be a role model (incarnational) and assist with developing community outreach to "unchurched" teens, discipleship to Christian teens, and leading and equipping volunteers to do "hands‑on" middle and high school Christian youth programs.
Work well in an environment that sees (due to high military operational tempo) a high degree of turnover among teens, families, chaplains and volunteers.

The Individual Giving Officer plays a key role in advancing MOCA's philanthropic goals by cultivating

Officer also is the administrative lead for exhibition fundraising - including preparing decks, boilerplate
solicitation letters, prospecting research, following up cross departmentally to ensure asks are made
timely and reported into the tracking software. In alignment, this role will also help to manage special
funds, such as the Fund for Exhibitions, Fund for Education, and Fund for Performance, in a similar
manner.
Additional responsibilities include conducting donor research, preparing briefing materials, tracking
progress toward fundraising goals, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM database. The
Individual Giving Officer partners across departments to align messaging and leverage key
relationships, organizes donor events such as exhibition previews and private tours, and may develop
and lead a young patrons group to cultivate future supporters. This position plays a vital role in
strengthening MOCA's donor community and advancing its mission.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving and Chief Advancement Officer to identify and advance major gift prospects, enhancing the donor pipeline.
Support the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Individual Giving in managing the Director's Council and Environmental Council, including meeting planning, communications, member engagement, and renewals.
Serve as the primary museum liaison for the Projects Council, attending meetings, organizing events, and managing communications with members and leadership.
Manage exhibition fundraising and special funds, preparing proposals, reports, and donor materials in collaboration with Advancement colleagues and curatorial staff.

Partner cross-departmentally to align messaging on individual giving; work with leadership, board members, and curators to leverage key relationships.

Potentially oversee the development and management of a young patrons or emerging leaders group to build engagement among new audiences.
Perform additional projects and duties as assigned to support the Advancement team's goals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree minimum of 3-5 years of experience in development or fundraising, preferably in a museum or cultural institution.
Strong knowledge of individual giving best practices and strategies, with a track record of cultivating and soliciting gifts from individual donors.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with a diverse donor base.
