The Child Life group promotes the continuous development of children to optimize their responses to medical care, to minimize psychological stress and trauma, and to increase understanding and coping with illness and health care experiences. Child Life provides children with opportunities for gaining a sense of mastery, for play, for learning, for self-expression, for family involvement and for peer interaction. As members of the health care team, child life staff advocate for children and families in ambulatory and inpatient settings. They serve as resources to all staff and to the community on issues related to child development and child health experiences.
Position Summary
Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the Child Life department system-wide. Plans and provides therapeutic interventions and child life programming for patients and families. Functions as an active, contributing member of the child life department and Children's system. Promotes effective functioning of the child life department.
Child Life or music therapy certification. Master's degree in child life or child development concentration. BLS certification required. Minimum five years experience working in child life. Two years leadership experience.

+ Knowledge of general festival information (i.e. hours of the show, stage names, major performing artists, location of the nearest medic tent, ATM, water station, etc.)
+ Assist in set up of VIP area before doors open, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the festival
+ Creative and flexible with various tasks, and willing to get the Headliners excited about any and all activations
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Large-scale event experience- exceeding 5,000 attendees
+ Proactive and creative thinker; problem solving and ability to "think on your feet"
+ Ability to work long hours, weekends, and travel (as needed)
+ Personable, enthusiastic and able to work well in group environments.
