Mutual of Omaha Mortgage is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Business Insight Analyst to support data analysis and strategic decision-making within the reverse mortgage services sector. In this role, you will work closely with the VP/ SVP of Marketing-to deliver actionable insights, identify trends, and support initiatives that drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
You will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful intelligence to improve forecasting, risk management, and revenue optimization in a highly regulated, fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze mortgage pipeline data, loan performance, and financial trends to support strategic initiatives.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across lending, marketing , servicing, and customer experience.
Partner with stakeholders to identify pain points, operational bottlenecks, and areas for revenue or efficiency gains.
Monitor and report on campaign performance and market trends (e.g., interest rate changes, borrower behavior, prepayment risk).
Support regulatory and compliance reporting by ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
Develop predictive models and scenario analyses for delinquency, risk, behavior, and loan trends.
Translate complex data into clear business recommendations through written reports and visual presentations.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in an analytics or business intelligence role, preferably in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Snowflake)
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create dashboards and reports.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Understanding of mortgage lifecycle stages (origination, underwriting, servicing) and financial regulations impacting the industry.
Preferred:
Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
Familiarity with LOS (Loan Origination Systems) such as Encompass & Quantum Reverse.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., HMDA, TRID, FCRA).
Familiarity with secondary market dynamics and investor guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae).

Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of auto and property subrogation litigation from investigation through resolution, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiations, arbitrations, trials, and post-trial motions.
Investigate and pursue subrogation claims and litigation opportunities, including identifying liability, evaluating damages, and determining recovery strategies.

Plans, organizes, and performs desk-based risk appraisals for assigned lines of business(s) to provide risk analysis information to Underwriters. The risk appraisal process includes preparation of a plant/process/product description, assessment of plant/process/product design, hazards and adequacy of mitigation measures, assessment of management systems/procedures and plant protection facilities, and loss estimate calculations
Conducts on-site risk engineering surveys for existing and prospective Clients, as required by underwriters. Produces either a summary report for internal use or a detailed marketing risk engineering survey report for Underwriters, Brokers, or the Client as required by Liberty Mutual guidelines
Assumes ownership for allocated accounts including attendance on surveys, follow-up of key recommendations and ensuring that risk engineering information on file is up to date
Provides technical input on claims including review of loss adjuster reports and site visits to identify areas for claims mitigation and lessons learned. These lessons learned should be communicated to other Engineers/Underwriters and provide a basis for future loss prevention investigation during surveys
Maintains professional credibility and consistently demonstrates technical expertise and sound judgment
Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of the assigned lines of business(s) including process technology, loss prevention, construction, and other related issues that may impact the underwriting decision-making process or profitability
The jobholder is expected to actively pursue professional development to develop and maintain knowledge in these areas
Participates in business development and marketing activities for assigned lines of business(s).
This role will mainly focus on the assessment of onshore oil, gas, petrochemical, and chemical risks, as well as non-civil construction projects. Additional experience and/or knowledge in Power Generation is preferred, but not mandatory.

Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a technical discipline, such as Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
