Responsibilities
MV Transportation is seeking an OperationsManager will provide support, leadership and direction to assigned operating location to ensure delivery of annual business plans. He/she will control the daily operation of our transportation contract, in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures. The OperationsManager is primarily responsible for but not limited to:
Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability.
Effectively manage all call center and dispatch functions.
Effectively manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs.
Identify, select, train and mentor location staff.
Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members.
Assist in overseeing safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements.
Contributes to maintain the safety culture of the division.
Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations.
Assist with conducting periodic departmental audits.
Daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics.
Implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Participates in location labor and employee relations activities.
Qualifications
Talent Requirements:
Candidates for the OperationsManager positions must have at least four (4) years of experience in supervising fixed-route, fixed-schedule, unionized bus services encompassing at least thirty-five (35) peak-period
vehicles, five (5) years of progressively responsible positions in the transit, paratransit, charter and/or student transportation business.
The ideal candidate would have experience in scheduling and personnel management and training.
Must be able to work independently and have strong written, verbal and computer skills.
Industry standard training in DOT/FTA drug and alcohol regulations, federal motor carrier and Cal-OSHA safety regulations.
Knowledge of the contractual obligations is a must to perform this job correctly.
Knowledge of company policy assures that the field operator is using consistent measures to assess a drivers' activity.
Experience managing fast paced environment.
Trapeze experience preferred.
Starting salary range: $100,000 - $120,000

Must be 21 years old;

5 or more years of relevant management and leadership experience required.
Experience in tech, start-up, and/or AV industry is strongly preferred.
Strong background in transportation and/or logistics is highly preferred.
Working knowledge of basic federal and state employment laws.
Basic working knowledge of laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to motor vehicle operations.

+ Lead role implementing programs for the Operations division of Transdev's North America

Required Education and Experience:
+ Must be 21 years old;

+ 5 or more years of relevant management and leadership experience required.

+ Strong background in transportation and/or logistics is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
Handles all contractual services, including operations, administrative functions, and information systems, and provides oversight of safety, training, and maintenance departments.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent required, as well as a bachelor's degree, is strongly preferred.
Requires 3-5 years of recent and relevant direct experience managing all aspects of a paratransit
Prior experience working with a collective bargaining agreement
Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Must have evidence of building solid relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
Excellent communication skills
Successful track record in managing budgets and/or P&L responsibility.
Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate and/or collaborate with agencies, directors, elected officials, operators, and all levels of hourly and salaried employees, including senior management.
Must be a self-starter able to obtain successful results without supervision.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation of similar size and scope.
Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws.
Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations.
Ability to build solid and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
Ability to manage cost control and financial budget.
Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and understanding of transportation technology.
Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to navigate Labor Relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances and negotiations.

Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities
MV Transportation is seeking an OperationsManager will provide support, leadership and direction to assigned operating location to ensure delivery of annual business plans.
