About the Role
MWH is currently seeking a Regional Manager to lead and support operations in California. This position will report to the Sr. VP, Director of CMS.
This Regional Manager will be responsible for overall management direction for existing projects while also developing and guiding new business opportunities throughout the Northern and Central Coast California Region. This individual will make decisions and recommendations that can greatly affect the profitability of regional operations and will take accountability for providing leadership, strategy and direction with primary responsibility for sustained growth. They will assess existing segment service offerings, make recommendations to affect significant promotion and growth; and otherwise elevate operations, client contact and relationship development to enable the successful growth of business.
Essential Functions
Establish objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards for operations in the Region, within the boundaries of corporate policy
Own P&L, project execution, sales goals, project oversight, client management & relationships, and ensure the successful execution of CMS contracts and work in the applicable region
Oversee Area Managers and other regional senior staff or support staff. Regional Manager indirectly manages an overall org chart of approximately 25-50 CMS team staff in the region
Develop a strategic growth plan for the region, recruiting and hiring staff to meet the needs of current and future projects in the region
Ensure that MWH policies, procedures, governance and SOPs are followed on projects
Report on progress of projects, region performance, sales, staffing, and other metrics to the team and upper management at MWH
Work with MWH Corporate and CMS leadership to develop strategic growth plans and execute them
Staffing, training, and development of CMS team members in the region
Provide mentorship, feedback, and development of Area Managers and Sr. Construction Managers/Resident Engineers in the region
Work with the CMS Pursuit leaders, Business Development and Proposal teams on Go vs. No-Go process, Opportunity Development; ensure our proposal and interviews are top tier and result in winning pursuits
Basic Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license in CA preferred
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential preferred
OSHA 30-hour Training
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or 20+ years of experience managing construction projects
Ability to work onsite full time in California and visit jobsites/clients routinely
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other construction related programs
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with California clients
Ability to move around an active construction site

Keen eye for quality control during inspections and subcontractor oversight
Demonstrated highly effective written skills, timely documenting daily activities, and reporting of site issues

The Senior Construction Manager will oversee the appointed project staff and support service consultants to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the project plans and specifications, as well as requirements of the contract and the expectations of the client. In addition to providing construction management on all project phases from procurement, through bid, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, start-up and close-out phases, the Senior Construction Manager will assist in new business development opportunities.
Essential Functions

Monitor and control to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
Evaluate contractor s detailed cost proposals and develop preliminary cost estimate.
Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all company and consultant personnel on assigned project(s).
Will have day-to-day supervisory responsibility over support and professional construction management staff.
Authorize/approve all purchase requisitions, change requests, etc., within signature authority.
Implement company safety program. Assure that direct reporting employees follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
Minimum of 12 years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects, such as treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, tunnels, etc.
8+ years of management experience, including client interface and solicitation, marketing and business development, planning and execution, project delivery, and staff supervision.
CCM or PMP required, however consideration will be given to candidates willing to gain CCM or PMP within 12 months.
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), union jurisdiction, labor agreements, and negotiations.
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.

Essential Functions
Represent the project owner in the field, provide single-point field inspection of the Contractor s work.
Daily, monitor and record contractors' methods, procedures, and processes for compliance with the contract and prepare a comprehensive Daily Inspection Report with measurement of daily installed quantities and resources utilized.

About the Role
MWH is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to support a $2.3+ billion project in San Francisco, CA. The project is to replace the existing digester facilities with a brand new biosolids digestion facility, including a thermal hydrolysis phase and pretreatment and post treatment phases.
The QC Engineer plays a key role in coordinating and implementing MWH's quality management system to ensure excellence in project deliverables. This individual is responsible for verifying that all project work complies with MWH and client standards, meeting all specified project requirements. This position is critical in implementing effective quality management so that the project is delivered at the highest standard of quality, consistently meeting the requirements and expectations of the client. The QC Engineer role also involves regular interaction across internal teams to support quality initiatives company wide.
Essential Functions
Responsible for a thorough understanding of project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
Monitor construction quality and support project staff in the performance of day-to-day activities applicable to the Quality Management System.
Assist multiple project teams with the development of the project site specific quality plans
Coordinate, schedule, perform, and document perform ongoing quality inspections; verify all completed work complies with applicable permits, codes, drawings, and specifications.

About the Role
MWH is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support and lead critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant construction projects for both municipal and industrial clients (including advanced technology sector clients) based out Northern California metropolitan area.

Essential Functions
Selected individual will provide technical support to project management and project supervision staff to ensure construction work is performed efficiently, on schedule and in accordance company policy and engineering standards.

Review all incoming correspondence and initiate action on it, record minutes of the weekly and monthly project site meeting, review and process the Contractor s pay applications, review of the project schedule, process RFI s and produce weekly and monthly construction progress reports.
Ensure Project management systems are maintained up-to-date and accurate.
Assist with review and analyze Contractor claims, prepare change orders, and manage claims and change order records.

About the Role
MWH is currently seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to support critical infrastructure construction work in the San Francisco North Bay Area.
The Senior Construction Manager will oversee the appointed project staff and support service consultants to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the project plans and specifications, as well as requirements of the contract and the expectations of the client.
