Plan, organize, and schedule daily tasks for the drywall crew, ensuring efficient utilization of labor and materials to meet project deadlines. Conduct Job site inspections to assess site conditions and develop appropriate strategies for drywall installation and finishing. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and project specifications during the installation and finishing process. Train and mentor team members, promoting skill development and adherence to safety guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and injuries. Monitor project progress, identify any deviations from the plan, and implement corrective measures to ensure timely completion and quality control. Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth integration of drywall work into the overall construction process. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily work logs, material usage, and labor hours, to facilitate project reporting and billing processes. Foster a positive working environment by effectively resolving conflicts, promoting teamwork, and upholding the principles of the union. Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience as a Drywall Foreman or similar role in a commercial construction environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, layout and specifications related to commercial drywall projects. OSHA 30 preferred Familiar with the use of technology including but not limited to tablets and software platforms related to the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of commercial drywall, metal studs, exterior framing, acoustical ceiling installation, and finishing methods. Familiarity with union labor agreements, regulations, and safety standards in the construction industry. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure. Ability to operate and maintain drywall-related tools and equipment. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with drywall installation and finishing. DN Tanks is seeking a skilled Carpenter Foreman to join our craft labor team. In this role, you will oversee production, quality, and safety under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent. As a foreman, you will play an essential role in ensuring the successful completion of all work by providing hands-on support and guidance to the team. This includes assisting in training apprentices, journeymen, and other field personnel to ensure all tasks are performed safely and with high quality.Primary Responsibilities Understands how the Carpenter interacts with a Laborer during the tank building process and can direct the work as required. Establishes crews, assigns responsibilities and follows through on assigned work to meet the project timeline. Reads and interprets tank drawings and construction information package to ensure work is performed according to specifications. Inventories material upon delivery to ensure components comply with the contract drawings prior to signature. Involved in daily closeout meetings with the Superintendent providing an update on the day's activities and needs for the following day. Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediately. Checks and confirms elevation grades and plumbness on critical tank components. Follows and upholds safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policies. Identifies hazards, takes action to correct them, and is responsible for recognizing those who do the same in accordance with the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program. Promotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work. Provide coaching and training while motivating the team to produce quality work and ensure all safety standards are met with all individuals on the project. Maintain all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs. Performs all jobsite layout utilizing survey equipment under direction of the Superintendent. Supports the training program by working closely with other traveling tank builders and utilizing all resources available in DN University. Qualifications Operate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment. Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations Manager. Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds. Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc. Ability to complete DN Tanks crane certification.
