ABOUT THE ROLE Safety Specialists work closely with field staff, clients and subcontractors, all levels of management, and personnel from external organizations during all phases of electric construction projects. Essential Functions
Travel between Colorado and Texas with extended stays weekly wherever needed. Must be willing and able to travel.
* Perform ongoing site visits to observe and document safety behaviors and work conditions to ensure a safety focus throughout all phases of electric construction projects
* Coordinate with Operations teams to create site-specific safety plans; actively participate in safety meetings to review job hazard analysis and hazard recognition tools
* Participate in project kick off and progress meetings
* Supporting client-specific safety requirements programs and ensure alignment and compliance between client expectations, company rules, and applicable safety regulations
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection or occupational health and safety
* Coach and mentor project site personnel regarding safety practices and behaviors on an ongoing basis
* Conduct proactive behavior-based and quality-focused field safety observations and PPE hazard assessments
* Partner with Safety, Safety Training & Operations teams to schedule or facilitate required employee trainings: New hire orientation, OSHA ETD Quarterly refresher training, Customer required training, Post-incident training as part of a Corrective Action Plan, and Participate in site-specific safety planning.
* Conduct accident/injury investigations including root cause analyses
* Provide support to Operations organization for incident case management and documentation steps
* Follow-up with Operations organization to ensure completion of corrective actions for all accidents and incidents
* Support company safety committees by assisting in assessment of safety performance trends, implementing process, and tool improvements
* Regular and predictable attendance

Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles is required

We are hiring a Safety Manager who is primarily responsible for an assigned regional area and may oversee corporate safety programs. This position provides management, coordination, and technical expertise in all areas of safety, health, and environmental compliance. This position assists in the development and administration of safety policies and procedures, initiatives, and training programs to ensure that safety policies and practices are followed consistently. The Safety Manager will assist in establishing reliable methods for improving safety performance and creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform a gap analysis of the client's safety program to correctly identify exactly what the client's needs are
Work with clients in developing processes and procedures that effectively accomplish the goal of zero accidents
Routinely inspect projects to identify and abate potential hazards on both construction and general industry projects
Develop and conduct training programs for existing and new policies and procedures
Investigate all accidents and near misses to determine the root causes and make appropriate changes in policies and procedures to prevent reoccurrence of similar hazards
Write project specific safety plans and job hazard analysis as required by the client
Oversee, monitor, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accident reports and investigations
Act as an advocate for the client by maintaining a value of good corporate ethics and promoting safety, at every opportunity, as a core value of the organization
Job Requirements:
Must be Fluent in English and Spanish
Professionalism in a corporate function environment
Minimum of 5-7 years of construction safety experience
Knowledge of the OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926, General Industry Standards CFR 1910, and other best management practices
Knowledge of typical construction processes
Strong background in use of technology and software applications
Computer skills using SharePoint and MS Office, including Excel
Technical writing capabilities of developing policies and procedures for clients
Up to 25% travel required
Must be local to Dallas, TX or willing to permanently relocate to the area

🔧 What You'll Do:
As a Safety Supervisor, you'll serve as the critical link between field crews and executive leadership, ensuring we don't just meet safety standards, we lead with them:
Enforce corporate and project-specific safety and health programs
Conduct detailed jobsite audits, safety walk-throughs, and risk assessments
Develop and deliver safety training (fall protection, rigging, silica, confined space, GHS, etc.)
Create, maintain, and verify site-specific documentation (AHAs, SDS, permits, etc.)
Perform incident and accident investigations, collect evidence, interview, report, follow up
Collaborate with foremen, PMs, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure compliance
Design advanced safety solutions for lifts, hazardous materials, excavation, and heavy equipment
Track and manage training matrix, inspection forms, and safety schematics
Stay up to date on OSHA, federal, and local regulations, and ensure we're ahead of the curve

Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, construction management, or related field
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry (Required)

Fall Protection, Rigging, Confined Space, and Equipment Safety Training
Experience & Skills:
2+ years of experience in field-level safety for construction projects
Strong knowledge of underground utilities, buildings, and highway construction risks
Bilingual English & Spanish - Preferred
Proficiency in MS Office, Procore, and digital documentation systems
Strong interpersonal skills, leadership presence, and ability to work independently
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
